<p><p><b>Description :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>Were a leader in data and AI.<br/><br/>Through our software and services, we inspire customers around the world to transform data into intelligence and questions into answers.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a dynamic, fulfilling career with flexibility and a world-class employee experience, you'll find it here.<br/><br/>We're recognized around the world for our inclusive, meaningful culture and innovative technologies by organizations like Fast Company, Forbes, Newsweek and more.<br/><br/><b>About The Job :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>The role is based in the Pune R&D Centre, at the SAS R&D Pune facility.<br/><br/>We are looking for a Manager, Software Development, who will be responsible for the full-stack development of the SAS products and will manage a team to ensure the department, division, and corporate objectives are achieved.<br/><br/>You will be working on new/existing software and provide leadership and coaching to a team of experienced software developers and testers in designing, developing, building, and supporting a scalable product with the highest quality within expected timelines.<br/><br/>You will have an opportunity to work on the latest technologies and processes, viz.<br/><br/>React, Go Language, and Kubernetes in continuous integration and deployment in a cloud-based environment.<br/><br/>Furthermore, you will be joining a friendly team with a broad range of experience.<br/><br/><b>Primary Responsibilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Your primary responsibility will be to organize, develop, prioritize and assign resources to deliver high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines, while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.<br/><br/>- You will be mentoring associate engineers to ensure the seamless development of Viya platform solutions.<br/><br/>- Lead development and test project designs and enforces technical standards to ensure solutions execute correctly across various supported environments.<br/><br/>- Manage and leads project scoping and scheduling; tracks progress of individual tasks and alerts executive management and stakeholders of concerns meeting schedules, while following established R&D standards.<br/><br/>- Manage product quality standards by ensuring functional, unit and performance testing is comprehensive and thorough; works closely with development and testing teams to verify test plans.<br/><br/>- Organizes, prioritizes and assigns resources to implement and resolve code changes related to enhancements, redesigns and/or bug fixes.<br/><br/>- Provide technical leadership as appropriate for projects and to the team through mentoring, training and managing the activities of the team.<br/><br/>- Manage all aspects of the department including teamwork, performance management, feedback, professional growth through collaboration with SAS human resources, SAS education and executive leadership.<br/><br/>- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organizations secure software development goals.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Review business and solution requirements/design documents for accuracy.<br/><br/><b>Technology :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>- Go Lang, React, Python, Java, JavaScript.<br/><br/>- Good understanding of Databases.<br/><br/>- Test automation frameworks : Selenium, Playwright, Robot, Pytest.<br/><br/>- Containerization Technologies : Docker, Kubernetes.<br/><br/>- Interfaces : RESTful web services.<br/><br/>- Tools : GitHub, Gerrit, Gradle, Jenkins, Jira.<br/><br/>- Operating systems : Windows, Linu.<br/><br/><b>Requirement :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>- Must have a minimum of 12 years of software development/testing experience with a minimum of 8 years of technical expertise and 3-4 years as a software manager or lead.<br/><br/>- Proven software management/development experience in building UI and/or Mid-tier for an enterprise application.<br/><br/>- On the UI side, experience using JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, ReactJS (FC), or other related frameworks, and having knowledge of Unit/Integration testing frameworks, with hands-on exposure to maintaining enterprise applications in a multi-tier environment, would be preferred.<br/><br/>- On the mid-tier side, hands-on experience using Go or equivalent Language knowledge of micro-service-based mid-tier architecture would be preferred.<br/><br/>- Sound knowledge of testing methodologies/practices and ability to lead/manage testing members to ensure the highest quality of deliverables.<br/><br/>- Sound knowledge of CI/CD pipeline & principles.<br/><br/><b>Mandatory Technical Skills :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>- Strong exposure to the design and development of GUIs, mid-tier services, Java, React, cloud technologies, microservices, as well as quality and security concepts.<br/><br/>- Talent Acquisition, Coaching, Development & Succession with proven ability to foster an environment of positive employee engagement and trust.<br/><br/>- Proven ability to manage, track, and prioritize escalations and ensure deliver high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines, while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.<br/><br/>- Strong problem-solving skills, Quick Learner and a can-do attitude.<br/><br/>- Attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a solid awareness of the big picture.<br/><br/>- Ability to communicate with global peers and management in a clear, straightforward and effective way.<br/><br/>- Ability to identify technical gaps/areas for improvement.<br/><br/>- Research, analysis, and testing of new technologies.<br/><br/>- Acting as the primary contact for work streams and escalations.<br/><br/>- Ability to evaluate complex information, develop clear recommendations, and effectively present findings while seeking feedback.<br/><br/>- Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different teams to achieve shared goals.<br/><br/><b>You are welcome here :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>At SAS, its not about fitting into our culture - its about adding to it.<br/><br/>We believe our people make the difference.<br/><br/>Our inclusive workforce brings together unique talents and inspires teams to create amazing software that reflects the diversity of our users and customers.<br/><br/><b>Additional Information insert appropriate compliance verbiage for your country.<br/><br/>SAS only sends emails from verified sas.com email addresses and never asks for sensitive, personal information or money.<br/><br/>If you have any doubts about the authenticity of any type of communication from, or on behalf of SAS, please contact stay in touch!
