<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/>Job Title : Cybersecurity Engineer<br/><br/></p><p>Job Type : Work From Office (WFO)<br/><br/></p><p>Expected Start Date : Immediate<br/><br/></p><p>Location : Chennai<br/><br/><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer with around 4 years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, and infrastructure/cloud security.
The candidate must hold recognized cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft/Azure Security Engineer, CISSP Associate) to meet client compliance requirements.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Monitor and analyze security events and logs using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel, etc.).<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with infra/application teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and DLP tools.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support incident response, root cause analysis, and reporting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Assist in access management, security policies, and compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with cloud/infrastructure teams to implement security best practices (Azure/AWS/GCP).<br/><br/></p><p>- Stay updated with latest cyber threats, exploits, and defense techniques.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Experience :</b><br/><br/>- Experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or SOC operations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of network security, endpoint protection, firewalls, IAM, and SIEM platforms.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with incident handling, vulnerability management, and threat detection.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP) security (Mandatory at least one from below) :</b><br/><br/>- EC-Council CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)<br/><br/></p><p>- CompTIA Security+ or CySA+<br/><br/></p><p>- Microsoft Security Engineer Associate (SC-200/SC-300)<br/><br/></p><p>- CISSP Associate of (ISC) (if <5 years exp.)<br/><br/></p><p>- Cisco CCNP Security (preferred for network-heavy roles)<br/><br/><b>Good to Have :</b><br/><br/>- ISO 27001 LA/LI (for compliance-focused clients).<br/><br/></p><p>- AWS/Azure Security Specialty certification.<br/><br/></p><p>- OSCP (if penetration testing exposure needed).<br/><br/><b>Soft Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong communication and reporting skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work under pressure during incidents.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
