<p><p><b>Description : </b><br/><br/><b>Duties :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>Security Engineer : <br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct in-depth security analysis with a focus on hands-on coding (8095%).<br/><br/></p><p>- Design, deploy, and operate security detection and protection services across infrastructure </p><p>(network, OS, storage) in cloud environments (AWS, GCP).<br/><br/></p><p>- Incorporate risk scoring methodologies and prioritization into detection and remediation strategies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Secure network and operating systems across both on-prem and cloud infrastructures.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform basic incident response and forensic investigations at the network and OS layer.<br/><br/></p><p>- Design, develop, support, and maintain system infrastructure including hardware and software implementations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Review, update, and maintain technical documentation, models, and reports to meet stakeholder needs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide advanced end-user and cross-functional support as required.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work on complex, cross-functional assignments requiring broad technical expertise and strategic problem-solving.<br/><br/></p><p>- Actively participate in Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, Kanban) to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure solutions.<br/><br/></p><p>- Designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software.<br/><br/></p><p>- Reviews previous documents and prepares up-to-date documents/modes/reports to meet consumer requests.
Performs end-user support.<br/><br/><p><b>Required Skills :</b></p></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- 5+ years of experience in a computer security role, with exposure to offensive security and vulnerability analysis.<br/><br/></p><p>- 5+ years of hands-on experience analyzing vulnerabilities and exploits; experience implementing detection capabilities is a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) including security best practices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on operations experience with cloud infrastructure and security tools (e.g., Host Intrusion Detection, WAF, API Security).<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong grasp of AWS infrastructure tools and automation (Infrastructure as Code, operations); AWS security engineering experience is a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Software development experience in Python, Golang, or Shell scripting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of machine learning model development for security use cases is a plus.<br/><br/><b>Core Competencies : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Proven ability to work as a self-starter, making independent decisions and driving work </p><p>forward with minimal supervision.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering against commitments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent collaboration and partnership skills, able to work effectively across cross-functional teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Clear and concise technical documentation capabilities.<br/><br/></p><p>- Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow within the security engineering field.<br/><br/><b>Education (if required) : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Bachelors degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience (Cybersecurity emphasis preferred).<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
