<p>Job Summary :<br/><br/>We are seeking an experienced Security Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and enhance embedded firmware with a strong focus on security.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will work on custom hardware platforms, ensuring robust and tamper-resistant firmware for next-generation embedded systems.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/>- Design and develop secure embedded firmware for ARM and RISC-V architectures.<br/><br/>- Perform OS porting and bring-up activities on custom silicon and SoC platforms.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain low-level device drivers and board support packages.<br/><br/>- Implement and validate embedded security features including cryptographic algorithms, key management, and secure boot.<br/><br/>- Integrate secure firmware update mechanisms and ensure tamper-resistant design.<br/><br/>- Debug complex hardware/software integration issues using JTAG, GDB, and related tools.<br/><br/>- Work with RTOS or Linux kernel internals for driver and firmware-level development.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with hardware, security, and system engineering teams for product-level validation.<br/><br/>- Contribute to continuous integration and version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines.<br/><br/>- Create and maintain detailed design documentation and test procedures.<br/><br/>Required Skills :<br/><br/>- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of ARM and RISC-V architectures.<br/><br/>- Experience in device driver programming and OS porting.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of embedded security principles, cryptographic protocols, and secure firmware update mechanisms.<br/><br/>- Exposure to RTOS or Linux kernel development.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.<br/><br/>- Experience with debugging tools like JTAG and GDB.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.<br/><br/>- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications :<br/><br/>- Experience in silicon validation or working with custom SoCs.<br/><br/>- Understanding of trusted execution environments (TEE) or secure elements.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with firmware signing and secure bootloaders.<br/><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
