<p><p><b>Role Overview :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer Specialist to design, architect, implement, and maintain autonomous agents for Windows, Unix/Linux, and macOS endpoints.
This role will focus on building scalable backend systems and real-time telemetry pipelines, enabling visibility into enterprise software inventories while leveraging cutting-edge AI-driven Responsibilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Design and build cross-platform agents (Windows, Linux/Unix, macOS) using Go (Golang), Rust, or Python.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement secure, real-time communication (gRPC, WebSocket) between agents and backend services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop mechanisms to monitor package installations/uninstallations in real time (file-system watchers, OS hooks, package manager APIs).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure lightweight performance and robust error handling on endpoints.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build and maintain scalable microservices to ingest, process, and store telemetry data.<br/><br/></p><p>- Define and enforce data schemas for software inventory events.<br/><br/></p><p>- Integrate agents and backend services into CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).<br/><br/></p><p>- Automate deployment, versioning, and rolling updates across multiple environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement security best practices for agent-to-server communications (encryption, authentication, authorization).<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and data engineering teams to refine </p><p>requirements.<br/><br/></p><p>- Mentor junior developers on backend architecture and cross-platform Competencies & Skills :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred).</p><p><br/></p>- 7+ years of professional backend development experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in Go (Golang); strong skills in Python and/or Rust.<br/><br/></p><p>- Deep understanding of OS internals and package management (Windows, Linux/Unix, </p><p>macOS).<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of real-time data streaming & event-driven architectures (gRPC, WebSockets, Protocol Buffers).<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on with message queuing/streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ).<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates).<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid grasp of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/2) and security best practices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless Experience :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Background in IT Asset Management (ITAM) / Software Asset Management (SAM) or </p><p>enterprise-scale asset management.</p></p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Endpoint Security / EDR technologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to AI/ML integration for anomaly detection in telemetry data.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, custom telemetry).<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of cross-compiling binaries and managing multi-OS release pipelines.<br/><br/></p><p>- Relevant industry certifications (AWS, Azure, Security, Were Looking For : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.</p><p><br/></p>- Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.<br/><br/></p><p>- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.<br/><br/></p><p>- Passion for continuous learning and emerging technologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to mentoring and knowledge sharing.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
