<p>Role Overview :<br/><br/>We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our fast-growing product team in Chennai or Bangalore.
This is a high-impact role ideal for individuals who thrive in startup environments, love solving complex problems, and are passionate about building scalable backend systems using modern technologies.<br/><br/>You will play a key role in architecting, designing, and developing robust backend services and APIs that power our next-generation products.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.<br/><br/>- Architect and implement solutions with a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance.<br/><br/>- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Elasticsearch.<br/><br/>- Build and manage microservices and work within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).<br/><br/>- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.<br/><br/>- Leverage cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure for deployment, scaling, and performance optimization.<br/><br/>- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while following best practices in software engineering.<br/><br/>- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical mentoring.<br/><br/>- Apply strong Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) knowledge to build optimized solutions.<br/><br/>Key Requirements :<br/><br/>- 4 to 8 years of hands-on backend development experience.<br/><br/>- 3+ years of strong professional experience in Python development.<br/><br/>- Proven expertise in building and maintaining microservices and RESTful APIs.<br/><br/>- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases : PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, etc.<br/><br/>- 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) with proven problem-solving skills.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.<br/><br/>- Experience in working in agile, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environments-preferably startups or product-based companies.<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications :<br/><br/>- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.<br/><br/>- Prior experience working in high-growth startups or building scalable SaaS products.<br/><br/>- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and automated testing frameworks.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
