<p><p><b>Senior Cloud Engineer</b><br/><br/></p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled <b>Senior Cloud Engineer</b> to join our Digital & Technology team.
This role is responsible for delivering advanced technical support and leading the administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of our enterprise IT infrastructure across global sites.<br/><br/><b>The position demands deep expertise in VMware virtualization, Windows and Linux server environments, cloud services (Azure AD, O365), automation, and IT service delivery ( looking for candidates who can join within 45 days).</b><br/><br/>This is a critical role contributing to the stability, performance, and security of our hybrid IT environment and supporting our global business operations.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>1.
Infrastructure Operations & Support :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Provide L3/L4 technical support for infrastructure services globally (24/7).<br/><br/></p><p>- Administer VMware environments (vSphere, vSAN, vCenter) and Wintel platforms.<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitor systems to ensure availability, performance, and security.<br/><br/></p><p>- Maintain Active Directory, Azure AD, O365, Citrix, SCCM, and other server technologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Administer and troubleshoot Linux/Unix servers (basic level).<br/><br/><b>2.
Cloud & Virtualization :</b><br/> </p><p>- Participate in the design, operation, and optimization of hybrid and cloud-based environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support migration projects and integration with Azure VMware Solution (AVS).<br/><br/></p><p>- Maintain infrastructure documentation, configurations, and automation scripts.<br/><br/></p><p>- Contribute to lifecycle planning, capacity forecasting, and cost-efficiency efforts.<br/><br/><b>3.
Process, Governance & ITIL :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Maintain service catalog items and documentation for change requests.<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive continual improvement in IT service delivery and operational efficiency.<br/><br/><b>4.
Technical Leadership & Knowledge Sharing :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Provide technical guidance to team members and internal stakeholders.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct on-the-job training and documentation for SD teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in stakeholder meetings, reporting, and technical reviews.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support technical aspects of infrastructure projects, from scoping to delivery.<br/><br/><b>Essential Skills and Experience :</b><b>8-10 years experience in IT infrastructure management across cloud and hybrid environments.</b><br/><br/><b>Proven hands-on expertise (5+ years) in :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- <b>VMware vSphere, vSAN, ESXi</b><br/><br/></p><p>- <b>Windows Server Administration</b><br/><br/></p><p>- <b>Active Directory / Azure AD</b><br/><br/></p><p>- <b>Microsoft O365 ecosystem</b><br/><br/></p><p>- PowerShell scripting (for automation and reporting)<br/><br/></p><p>- ITIL-aligned service delivery (incident/change/problem management)<br/><br/>Familiarity with :<br/><br/></p><p>- Linux/Unix environments<br/><br/></p><p>- SCCM, Citrix, Terminal Services<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, Splunk)<br/><br/></p><p>- Enterprise backup, security practices, and DR planning<br/><br/><b>Desired Attributes :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a high-performance environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience supporting a multi-region or global IT environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborative team player with a commitment to process improvement and service excellence.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Admin, ITIL Foundation) are highly desirable.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
