The O pportunity

Beyond others, Worldline provides solutions and services in the card payment area.

In context of card payment authorization and switching a dedicated team is responsible for the product development and services based on the Authorization and Switching software suite “Worldline Pay Front Office” (WLP FO), normally combined with other components, e.g. for card management back office or fraud solutions for which other teams inside the company are in charge.

Both processing and software licensing offerings are in scope.

In context of growing our team, we are looking for a Senior Frontend Test Automation Engineer.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities ​

As a Senior Frontend Test Automation Engineer you will work closely together with other people in a team mainly focused on software development for the user interface of our application.

In the role of Senior Frontend Test Automation Engineer, you will

• Develop and implement scalable and maintainable automation frameworks using Playwright and Python, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our UI Frontend and its REST backend
• Design and develop advanced test suites by using your expertise in OOP principles to write clear and efficient automation code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and design appropriate test cases to validate software functionality
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab, enabling automated testing and deployment processes
• Investigate, analyze, and troubleshoot issues in automation scripts, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Mentor team members, providing guidance and technical testing leadership within the team
• Follow QA best practices, including test planning, test case design, and defect lifecycle management, to ensure the highest quality of our software product

Who Are We Looking For

In practice this means:

• University degree (master / bachelor) in computer science or engineering or comparable qualification
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT services and software development
• Knowledge in the area of electronic payments would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of Web/UI testing, customer experience design principles, page object model pattern
• Nice to have: Experience in performance/load testing
• Technical skills required: JavaScript, test frameworks like Playwright or Cypress, HTML/CSS, REST API concept, DB knowledge (Oracle/Postgres), Linux, Docker, HTTP (also via CLI)
• Nice to have experience (basic level): Java, Angular
• Knowledge or experience with agile methodologies would be an advantage
• Analytical procedure and abstraction

• Open and inquiring minded
• Team player, ability to work in an international environment and with matrix organization
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
