<p>Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/>- Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and data flows, including data validation, transformation, and reconciliation between source and target systems.<br/><br/>- Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify large volumes of data across various systems.<br/><br/>- Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business and functional requirements.<br/><br/>- Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, system integration, and data integrity testing.<br/><br/>- Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development and data teams for resolution.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify data flows.<br/><br/>- Contribute to the automation of data testing processes where applicable.<br/><br/>- Provide detailed test status updates and participate in defect triage meetings.<br/><br/>Required Skills & Qualifications :<br/><br/>- 3 to 9 years of hands-on experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.<br/><br/>- Strong experience in data validation, transformation, and reconciliation.<br/><br/>- Proficient in writing and executing complex SQL queries for large data sets.<br/><br/>- Working knowledge of at least one ETL tool such as : Informatica, IBM DataStage, Talend, or similar.</p><p><br/>- Experience in functional, regression, and system integration testing within a data environment.<br/><br/>- Exposure to reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Cognos) is a plus.<br/><br/>- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling.<br/><br/>- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/>- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>Nice to Have :<br/><br/>- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with test automation frameworks for data/ETL pipelines.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA or TestRail.<br/><br/>- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.<br/><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
