<p><p><b>Role Overview</b></p><p><br/> We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer Marketplace to join our growing team.<br/><br/> In this role youll build and enhance the front-end of our marketplace initiative, helping enable e-commerce features for internal products and (in future) third-party integrations.<br/><br/> Youll partner with cross-functional teams (backend, UX/design, product, QA), own significant frontend workstreams, and help ensure high quality, performance, and consistency.</p><br/><p><b>What Youll Do : </b><br/><br/><b>Frontend Design & Implementation : </b><br/><br/> - Define, build, and maintain React-based UI components and pages.<br/><br/> - Deliver high-quality, reusable, maintainable code.<br/><br/> - Translate UX designs into responsive, accessible interfaces.</p><br/><p><b>API Integration & Data Management : </b><br/><br/> - Work closely with backend engineers to consume RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.<br/><br/> - Handle data fetching, error states, loading, state management, caching, etc.</p><br/><p><b>Performance, Reliability & Optimizations : </b><br/><br/> - Monitor and tune frontend performance (load times, render performance, interactivity).<br/><br/> - Apply optimizations : code splitting, lazy loading, memoization, and image optimization.<br/><br/> - Ensure the app works smoothly across devices and browsers.</p><br/><p><b>Marketplace / E-commerce Flows : </b><br/><br/> - Deliver features around browsing, managing SKUs, checkout, cart, subscriptions, authentication, and payments.<br/><br/> - Ensure these workflows are secure, user-friendly, and performant.</p><br/><p><b>Technical Ownership & Best Practices : </b><br/><br/> - Contribute to frontend architecture, define state management patterns (Redux, Context API, etc.), and component libraries/design systems.<br/><br/> - Write tests (unit, integration, UI/e2e), enforce code quality, accessibility, responsive design, and adherence to best practices.</p><br/><p><b>Collaboration & Mentorship : </b><br/><br/> - Mentor and support junior/mid-level frontend developers.<br/><br/> - Participate in code reviews.<br/><br/> - Align with product managers, designers, QA, backend/infrastructure on priorities, deliverables, and technical tradeoffs.</p><br/><p>Cross-Functional Coordination : Ensure alignment across teams (Backend, DevOps, Design, Product) on deployment, environments, CI/CD, and observability.<br/><br/> Gather requirements and feedback from stakeholders and users to inform UX improvements.</p><br/><p><b>Required Skills & Experience : </b><br/><br/> - 3-5+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack development, with a strong focus on React (or comparable modern front-end framework).<br/><br/> - Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3; build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or equivalent.<br/><br/> - Experience with state management (Redux, MobX, Context API, or similar).<br/><br/> - Experience building or contributing to e-commerce/marketplace UIs : checkout flows, authentication, product listings, cart/subscriptions.<br/><br/> - Strong skills in optimizing frontend performance, diagnosing, and fixing bottlenecks.<br/><br/> - Familiarity with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility (WCAG) best practices.<br/><br/> - Good testing mindset : unit/integration/e2e testing experience; ability to write clean, testable code.<br/><br/> - Good communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with product, design, backend, QA; ability to make trade-offs.</p><br/><p><b>Preferred Qualifications : </b><br/><br/> - Proficiency in TypeScript.<br/><br/> - Experience with GraphQL in frontend data fetching.<br/><br/> - Experience implementing or maintaining design systems or component libraries.<br/><br/> - Knowledge of observability/monitoring tools for front-end performance (real-user monitoring, logging, error tracking).<br/><br/> - Familiarity with CI/CD practices for frontend;
