These Champions offer guidance and support through structured internship sessions with young people, ages 15 - 23, via video conferencing to promote employability skills development and to establish a plan and clear college and career goals.<br/><br/><b>Role Overview :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to help build and scale our educational platform.
This role is ideal for someone eager to work in a mission-driven environment and grow alongside a small but committed technical team.<br/><br/>You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development (approximately 50/50 split), collaborating directly with our Director and Tech Lead in a fast-paced, iterative environment.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Participate in bi-weekly sprint cycles<br/><br/>- Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to understand evolving platform needs<br/><br/>- Implement new features and fix bugs across the stack<br/><br/>- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code<br/><br/>- Translate Figma designs into production-ready UI using Material Design standards<br/><br/>- Ensure system stability and reliability through proactive debugging and testing<br/><br/><b>Technical Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- 5 to 8 years of hands-on software development experience<br/><br/>- Proven experience building and deploying a production-ready application from scratch<br/><br/>- Proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js) and React (TypeScript)<br/><br/>- Experience working with PostgreSQL, including relational data modeling<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Azure and Azure Services for SaaS product deployments<br/><br/>- Working knowledge of Figma and Material Design component standards<br/><br/>- Strong Git/GitHub skills and an understanding of collaborative development workflows<br/><br/>- Exposure to applications utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI or similar platforms<br/><br/><b>Other Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Comfortable working during overlapping hours with U.S. Eastern Time<br/><br/>- Has worked in an asynchronous startup environment before<br/><br/>- Is able to communicate in English with the non technical staff<br/><br/>- Has prior experience working with 3rd party APIs and technical tools like Typeform, SendGrid, Cloud CMS software like Strapi<br/><br/>- Is able to work independently</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
