<p><p><b>Job Title : </b>Sr. Java Developer with Guidewire.<br/><br/><b> Job Location : </b>100% Remote.<br/><br/><b> Work Timing :</b> Till 11 pm IST.<br/><br/><b> Job Type : </b>Full-Time Employment.<br/><br/><b> Exp level :</b> Mid to high (5+yrs Min).<br/><br/> NOTE : Auto Insurance Background is A MUST.</p><br/><p><b>Job Summary :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>The Senior Developer collaborates with others in the team to develop and maintain the Guidewire platform that meets business needs.<br/><br/> Responsible for software design, architecture, and development for moderate to complex business solutions, providing technical guidance and leadership for the Guidewire implementation and maintenance-related activities.<br/><br/> Analyzes system problems and Guidewire features and recommends resolution.<br/><br/> Recommends opportunities to improve system performance, effectiveness, and efficiency.</p><br/> <p><b>Education, Skills, and Experience :</b><br/><br/>- Degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.<br/><br/>- Knowledge/ experience on Guidewire Insurance Now application is required.<br/><br/>- Demonstrates senior-level technical competency with application development including databases, desktop applications, web applications, and data integration projects.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of programming in JAVA, MySQL, XML, HTML.<br/><br/>- Self-directed with the ability to establish course of action and be accountable for results.<br/><br/>- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of company operations, office workflow and information technology applications within the insurance industry environment.<br/><br/>- Strong project management skills to complete assignments accurately and with minimal supervision.<br/><br/>- Effectively expresses ideas clearly, concisely, and logically, in both verbal and written form; clearly communicates problems and resolutions in a non-technical manner as needed.<br/><br/>- Strong team player; establishes cooperative, positive, and professional working relationships.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of stored procedures and MySQL.</p><br/><p><b>Essential Functions & Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Analyzes high level system specifications, system requirements and/or use cases.<br/><br/>- Converts information into low level specifications and system design plan.<br/><br/>- Designs and develops moderate to complex software solutions in adherence with I/S standards, methodology and internal controls.<br/><br/>- Identifies and provides solution alternatives for the defined functional and system requirements when needed.<br/><br/>- Understands and identifies system dependencies.<br/><br/>- Understands functionality, integration points and impacts of proposed changes to supporting applications.<br/><br/>- Follows through with options and recommendations.<br/><br/>- Provides appropriate documentation for design decisions, estimating assumptions, code modules, and performance metrics as required by organization standards.<br/><br/>- Defines, conducts, and/or participates in testing (i.e., unit, system integration).<br/><br/>- Prepares, leads and/or participates in development walkthroughs.<br/><br/>- Collaborates with others regarding effectiveness of systems flow, data usage and manual or automated processes to verify requirements.<br/><br/>- Ensures software development meets standards for programming, design, performance, quality, and security.<br/><br/>- Identifies and recommends areas for improvement in planning, design, development, and testing.<br/><br/>- Assists in developing recommendations for future development, releases, and enhancements (technical implementations).</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
