<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/>Job Title : Senior Java Angular Engineer<br/><br/>Experience : 5+ Years<br/><br/><b>Role Summary :</b><br/><br/>The Senior Java Angular Engineer will serve as a versatile full-stack expert, responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, and strategic evolution of a portfolio of critical, multi-tier enterprise and laboratory application suites.<br/><br/>This role requires deep technical proficiency in modern Angular frontend development coupled with strong backend skills in Core Java and Spring Boot, with extensive experience in traditional Java EE environments.<br/><br/>The engineer will be crucial in defining architecture, ensuring data integrity across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, and facilitating the transition of legacy systems while championing best practices like UML modeling and code factoring.<br/><br/><b>Primary Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Maintain and strategically enhance complex, multi-tier messaging application suites built on traditional stacks (Java EE, Spring framework, Oracle, DB2, MQ), ensuring high availability and message integrity.<br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain specialized middle-tier message processing applications utilizing IRIS4Health (IRIS Interop/Cache), integrating components like Java, Drools (for business rules), Kafka, Restful APIs, and MLLP for healthcare standards.<br/><br/>- Build and maintain a key multi-tier Clinical Toxicology application, leveraging Angular for the rich frontend experience and a robust backend utilizing Java EE, Spring framework, and underlying technologies like WAS (WebSphere/equivalent) and Cache/SQL.<br/><br/>- Provide critical maintenance and enhancement for legacy systems, including the stat-tracking application (two-tier Delphi, MySQL) and the Cytogenetics three-tier application (Java EE, WAS, DB2, Oracle, SQL).<br/><br/>- Define, develop, validate, and release high-quality software products for both small and large projects, adhering strictly to Agile processes.<br/><br/>- Provide robust operational support and maintenance for applications using Kanban processes, ensuring rapid resolution of support tickets and system issues.<br/><br/>- Collaborate closely with laboratory subject matter experts and users to conduct thorough problem analysis, subsequently designing and implementing technical solutions for complex enterprise systems.<br/><br/>- Participate in the production support schedule (on-call basis), providing expert troubleshooting and root cause analysis for live production system issues.<br/><br/>- Design and formally depict technical specifications via UML (Unified Modeling Language), including relational DB table models (ER design), object-oriented class models, and messaging/configuration models.<br/><br/>- Champion best practices by applying strong code-factoring philosophies and techniques to both new and inherited codebases, ensuring maintainability and performance improvements.<br/><br/><b>Minimum Requirements :</b><br/><br/>- Java EE Expertise : Solid, proven experience with classic Java EE technologies, including Servlets, JMS, JSP, EJB, JCA, and JPA development and production support.<br/><br/>- Database Proficiency : Solid experience with SQL and advanced query optimization techniques, including using Oracle DB tools like EXPLAIN PLAN.<br/><br/>- ORM/JPA : A minimum of 5 year of hands-on experience with JPA/ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate), including understanding of object-relational mapping patterns.<br/><br/>- Modeling & Design : Strong proficiency in UML modeling, Entity-Relationship (ER) design, Object-Oriented (OO) design, and advanced data-normalization techniques.<br/><br/>- Messaging & Data Formats : Experience with Junit, XML/XSD, and JSON for data exchange and service definition.<br/><br/>- Architecture : Strong understanding of client/server design and effective recognition of separation-of-concern between functional behavior and non-functional performance requirements.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Extensive, proven experience developing modern frontends using Angular (version 9+ preferred).<br/><br/>- Deep technical experience with InfoSystems Cache/IRIS for Health development and support, particularly in healthcare messaging (HL7/MLLP).<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with Core Java and modern Spring Boot for developing highly performant microservices.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with database technologies beyond Oracle, such as Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, and MySQL.<br/><br/>- Experience with message brokers such as Apache Kafka and traditional messaging queues like IBM MQ.<br/><br/>- Prior experience working in a regulated environment, such as healthcare or finance.<br/><br/>- Proficiency with modern IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse, and source control systems like Git.<br/><br/>- Experience in coaching and training team members on Java development standards and application architecture.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
