<p><p><b>Job Summary :</b> </p><p><br/></p><p>We are looking for an experienced Senior/Lead Delphi-Pascal Developer to lead a small team supporting and maintaining a mission-critical legacy business application for our US-based client.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Delphi (Object Pascal), strong leadership capabilities, and experience in client communication, requirement gathering, and delivery management.
</p><p><br/></p><p>You will serve as the technical lead and primary client contact, responsible for understanding requirements, guiding developers, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining system stability and performance.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Lead and mentor a small team of Delphi/Pascal developers.<br/><br/></p><p>- Act as the primary liaison with US clients understand requirements, communicate progress, and ensure expectations are met.<br/><br/></p><p>- Plan and manage development activities to ensure on-time delivery.<br/><br/></p><p>- Review and enhance existing Delphi/Pascal codebases for performance and maintainability.<br/><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in legacy systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Guide modernization or migration efforts where applicable.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with QA, system administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.<br/><br/></p><p>- Document technical processes, architecture changes, and improvement plans.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure code quality through peer reviews and best practice :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- 12+ years of professional experience in Delphi (Object Pascal) development.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience in leading projects or small technical teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of Pascal language fundamentals and Delphi IDE.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience working with US clients or in global delivery environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience in legacy system maintenance and performance optimization.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with databases like SQL Server, InterBase, Firebird, or Oracle.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration.<br/><br/><b>Nice to have Skills :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in modernization or migration of legacy Delphi applications.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN).<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of Windows API, COM, or REST/HTTP integration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Domain experience in manufacturing, logistics, or finance systems (if relevant).</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
