Job description
We're seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer who is passionate about building scalable automation frameworks and ensuring high product quality through cutting-edge tools and practices.
This is a high-ownership role with a chance to lead automation strategy and directly influence product delivery quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using Python + Selenium for both web and mobile platforms
· Own and evolve automated test suites for regression, integration, functional, and performance testing
· Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to define QA strategy and integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and GitLab
· Analyze product requirements, create detailed test cases, and drive test coverage across features and microservices
· Triage test failures, identify root causes, and continuously optimize reliability of test automation
· Mentor junior QA engineers and developers on automation best practices
· Stay current with automation trends and tools, and proactively recommend improvements to the QA process
Requirements
· 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 3+ years focused on automation
· Strong expertise in automation using Selenium/WebDriver, Playwright and Javascript / Typescript?
· Deep understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and test-driven development practices
· Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, version control with Git, and workflows in GitHub/GitLab
· Solid experience writing clear, maintainable, and modular automated test scripts
· Strong debugging and analytical skills for root cause analysis
· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
· High ownership, self-starter attitude, and ability to work independently
· Strong aptitude and reasoning ability with a growth mindset
Nice to Have
· Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured)
· Performance testing knowledge using JMeter, k6, or similar tools
· Experience working in a SaaS or product-driven startup
· Exposure to mobile automation using tools like Appium
· Familiarity with solar industry workflows or simulations (preferred but not required)
