About the job:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Automation QA Senior Software Engineer with 4 to 10 years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, specifically with proficiency in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, Integrations, Forms testing.

As a Senior QA Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, executing, and automating test cases for Guidewire-based insurance software solutions.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet the needs of our P&C insurance clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing principles, extensive experience with Guidewire testing, and a passion for driving excellence in quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans with the functional test design & execution approach.
  
  
• Develop test cases based on business requirements and system specifications.
• Execute test cases and scenarios, ensuring thorough testing coverage.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure accurate testing.
• Logging defects, retesting the defects, re-executing the failed test cases and tracking the defects for closure
• Utilize Agile methodologies to drive efficient testing processes and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in all Scrum ceremonies
• Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Guidewire Policy, Billing system testing and P&C insurance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in testing Guidewire PolicyCenter, Automation
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire technologies, including Guidewire Policy, Billing, and Underwriting, is highly desirable.
• Guidewire automation using any automation framework/tool
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance, including both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
• Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with keen diligence.
• Experience working in an Agile environment following the Onsite Offshore mode.
• Mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to help them grow and develop in their roles.
