<p><p><b>Job Title :</b> Software Test Engineer (Manual Testing Windows Applications)<br/><br/>We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with over 5 years of experience in manual testing of Windows-based applications.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software testing processes, test planning, and execution within an Agile development environment.
</p><p><br/></p><p>You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Windows-based software products by setting up and maintaining test environments, executing detailed test cases, and collaborating closely with development and QA teams.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Perform hands-on manual testing of Windows-based software applications, ensuring functional and non functional requirements are met.<br/><br/></p><p>- Set up, configure, and maintain test environments including Windows client and server systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in the development of test plans, test cases, and test strategies in collaboration with cross functional teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Execute test cases and record results clearly, identifying and reporting software defects in a structured and timely manner.<br/><br/></p><p>- Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test reports and defect logs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work closely with development teams during sprints to ensure proper test coverage and timely delivery.<br/><br/></p><p>- Estimate testing effort and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.<br/><br/></p><p>- Install and configure application builds and assist with deployment activities as needed.<br/><br/></p><p>- Follow structured test methodologies with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support continuous improvement by identifying testing process gaps and suggesting enhancements.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- 5+ years of professional experience in software testing, particularly in Windows-based environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of test case design, test execution, and defect reporting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with SQL and the ability to validate backend data using queries.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in installing and configuring software builds in Windows environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience working in an Agile development environment.<br/><br/><p><b>Desirable Skills :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p>- ISTQB/ISEB certifications in software testing are a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of Virtual Machines and tools such as VMware or VirtualBox.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including database validation and query execution.<br/><br/></p><p>- Basic understanding of IP networking, Windows domain environments, and Active Directory.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance best practices.<br/><br/><b>Personal Attributes :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Commitment to delivering high-quality results and continuous learning.<br/><br/>If youre passionate about software quality, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, wed love to hear from you.
