The Role
Veeva is looking for a passionate Senior Salesforce Software Engineer to work at our Hyderabad location.
The successful candidate will work with a team of highly skilled engineers with various skills in mobile, web, database and cloud technologies.
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues: Investigate and fix problems within the Salesforce platform and in the integrated SQL database.
Execute database queries: Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve, update and analyze data stored in the SQL Server database.Perform root cause analysis: Investigate issues to identify their underlying cause and prevent future occurrences.
Support integration: Investigate issues that occur during data migration or synchronization between Salesforce and SQL Server, using methods such as APIs or ETL tools.
Create and maintain documentation: Write knowledge base articles and internal process documents to help users and other team members resolve issues more efficiently.Requirements
Technical skills:Salesforce Platform: In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform.
Expertise in standard and custom objects, user profiles, permissions, and security settings.
Java Development Skills: Proficient in Java SDK (Preferred).
Integration knowledge: Must have hands-on experience with APIs (REST) processes to understand how data is transferred between systems.
Apex and SOQL: Ability to understand and debug Apex code and write Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) queries to retrieve data from Salesforce.
Microsoft SQL Server: Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries using T-SQL, functions, stored procedures and views as well as handling data imports/exports.
Database concepts: Solid understanding of database design, data integrity and management.Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Soft skills: Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve technical challenges effectively.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Customer service: Empathy, patience, and a customer-focused attitude to maximize satisfaction with the support process.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other teams, including support and product.Nice to Have
