Position Title: Senior Staff Engineer DevOps
Job Description:
Roles & responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
Architect and manage resilient, cost-efficient infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Design and implement workflows using:
Cloud Composer for orchestration.
Dataflow for real-time and batch data processing.
Dataproc for scalable Spark/Hadoop workloads.
Expertise with Data bricks and ADF
Vertex AI for integrating ML models into production pipelines.
Implement secure access control and policy enforcement using GCP IAM and Azure RBAC.
Integrate NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, Fire store, Bigtable) for scalable, low-latency data storage.

Containerization & Orchestration:
Lead deployment and lifecycle management of containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Implement autoscaling, ingress controllers, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio) to enhance microservices performance and security.
CI/CD & DevSecOps
Architect enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, enabling secure, automated, and repeatable deployments across cloud environments.
Champion DevSecOps by embedding security, compliance, and quality gates into the software delivery lifecycle.
Promote GitOps and policy-as-code practices for consistent, auditable infrastructure changes.
Streaming & Messaging Infrastructure
Architect and manage Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka for real-time data streaming and distributed messaging.
Integrate Cloud Pub/Sub for scalable, event-driven communication across services.
Observability & Reliability Engineering
Define and implement observability strategies using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and GCP Operations Suite.
Establish and enforce SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs to ensure system reliability and performance.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and resilience engineering efforts.
Infrastructure Automation & IaC
Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Cloud Functions.

Experience Required:
Required Qualifications:
12+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles, with 3+ years in a senior technical leadership or staff-level capacity.
Deep expertise in:
Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
AKS, GKE, and container orchestration.
Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub Actions or equivalent.
Observability tools: Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GCP Monitoring.
Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, Vertex AI, and NoSQL databases.
Proven experience in system design, incident management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Develops, GitOps, and service mesh technologies.
Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Experience with chaos engineering, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring skills.
