<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/>About the Role :<br/><br/>We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Survey Programmer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and deploying web-based survey solutions for global research initiatives.<br/><br/>The ideal candidate will have a strong command of survey logic, data structuring, and technical implementation using platforms such as Decipher (FocusVision / Forsta).<br/><br/>This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, technical expertise, and precision in execution to ensure seamless project delivery and superior data quality.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>Survey Design & Development :</b><br/><br/>- Translate client-provided questionnaires and research objectives into high-quality, interactive web-based surveys using Decipher.<br/><br/>- Implement advanced logic, branching, validation, and dynamic elements to ensure robust survey functionality.<br/><br/><b>Data Structuring & Optimization :</b><br/><br/>- Collaborate with Data Processing (DP) and Analytics teams to design surveys optimized for efficient data extraction, tabulation, and reporting.<br/><br/>- Ensure metadata and data files are structured for seamless downstream processing and client delivery.<br/><br/><b>Programming & Quality Assurance :</b><br/><br/>- Write, debug, and test survey code to ensure accurate logic flow, error-free execution, and exceptional user experience across devices and browsers.<br/><br/>- Conduct end-to-end quality checkscovering functional testing, usability, data integrity, and visual rendering.<br/><br/><b>Innovation & Technical Excellence :</b><br/><br/>- Design and integrate custom survey components such as drag-and-drop exercises, sliders, video or image evaluations, shelf tests, and complex grid layouts.<br/><br/>- Develop reusable templates, scripts, and automation utilities to streamline programming efficiency.<br/><br/><b>Project Management & Coordination :</b><br/><br/>- Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining timelines, accuracy, and quality standards.<br/><br/>- Proactively communicate progress, potential risks, and alternate plans to internal teams and project stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Provide ongoing support post-deployment for debugging, data validation, and client queries.<br/><br/><b>Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing :</b><br/><br/>- Work closely with offshore programming teams to ensure adherence to global best practices and project specifications.<br/><br/>- Mentor junior programmers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to process improvements.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Experience :</b><br/><br/>- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Survey Programming within a market research or analytics environment.<br/><br/>- Hands-on expertise in Decipher (FocusVision / Forsta); knowledge of other survey platforms (e.g, Confirmit, Qualtrics, Dimensions) is an advantage.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML/JSON data structures.<br/><br/>- Proven ability to create advanced logic patterns, piping, quotas, randomized designs, and multi-language surveys.<br/><br/>- Working knowledge of data integration and file formats (SPSS, Excel, CSV, ASCII).<br/><br/>- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.<br/><br/>- Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.<br/><br/>- Willingness to work in North American time zones (Night Shifts) and rotational schedules as required.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field.<br/><br/>- Experience in survey automation, dashboard integration, or API-based survey workflows.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g, Power BI, Tableau, or custom dashboards)</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
