<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/>About the Role :<br/><br/>We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team.<br/><br/>In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions by planning, developing, and executing both manual and automated test scripts.<br/><br/>You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to improve product quality, streamline testing processes, and introduce advanced automation tools and methodologies.<br/><br/>This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and evolve our quality assurance practices.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features and enhancements using both manual and automated testing methods.<br/><br/>- Lead the creation and maintenance of automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.<br/><br/>- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and UX/UI teams to understand feature requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and identify potential risks and defects early in the development lifecycle.<br/><br/>- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across multiple platforms and environments.<br/><br/>- Execute API testing and database validation to ensure backend reliability and data integrity.<br/><br/>- Identify, document, and track defects and issues; work with engineering teams to prioritize and verify fixes.<br/><br/>- Conduct thorough post-release/post-implementation testing to validate software performance and behavior in production-like environments.<br/><br/>- Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools, technologies, and testing techniques to enhance the automation suite and overall quality assurance processes.<br/><br/>- Mentor junior testers and contribute to the development of quality standards and best practices within the team.<br/><br/>- Monitor and report on testing progress, metrics, and quality status to stakeholders.<br/><br/><b>Requirements :</b><br/><br/>- Experience: 2 to 6 years of professional experience in software testing, with a minimum of 2 years in automation testing.<br/><br/>- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering (BE/BTech), or a related technical field.<br/><br/>- Strong hands-on experience in developing and implementing automation testing frameworks.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java, with practical knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks including Selenium, TestNG, and BDD/Cucumber.<br/><br/>- Solid understanding and experience in API testing and database testing.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.<br/><br/>- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.<br/><br/>- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document test results.<br/><br/>- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
