<p><p><b>Experience : </b> 13+ years<br/><br/><b>Location : </b> Bangalore<br/><br/><b>Notice Period : </b> Immediate Joiner<br/><br/><b>Work mode : </b> Hybrid<br/><br/><b>As a Wireless Network SRE, your role will focus on :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Owning the operational aspect of the wireless infrastructure, ensuring its high availability and reliability.<br/><br/></p><p>- Partnering with architecture, tooling, and deployment teams to guarantee that new implementations are supportable and align with production standards.<br/><br/></p><p>- Advocating for and implementing automation to reduce toil and enhance operational efficiency.<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitoring network performance, identifying areas for improvement, and coordinating with relevant teams to execute enhancements.<br/><br/></p><p>- Educating the network support team to empower them to help support the global Nvidia wireless footprint.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborating with SMEs to resolve production issues swiftly and effectively, maintaining customer satisfaction.<br/><br/></p><p>- Identifying opportunities for operational improvements and partnering with teams to develop solutions that drive excellence and sustainability in network we need to see :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><p><b>- Educational Background : </b> BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.</p><p><br/><b>- Professional Experience : </b> Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in wireless site reliability engineering, wireless network operations, or related areas.
Solid grasp of underlying network and security components leveraged in a wireless network.</p><br/><p><b>- Wireless Protocols and Standards : </b> Expert-level knowledge in wireless technologies such as 802.11ac and 802.11ax in addition to surrounding technologies such as WPA, Radius, EAP, 802.1X.</p><br/><b>- Wireless Access Points and Controllers : </b> Strong familiarity with WLAN controllers - especially Mist.<br/><br/><b>- RF Design and Troubleshooting : </b> Understanding RF fundamentals, site surveys, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation.
Capable of building and interpreting wireless site heatmaps and optimizing for events.
Tuning wireless networks for scalability and high availability.<br/><br/><b>- Network Skills : </b> Expertise in general network technologies such as TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, VPN, L2 switching.
Proven track record in network operations.<br/><br/><b>- Programming and Scripting Skills : </b> Experience in one or more of the following : Python, Perl, Bash.<br/><br/><b>- Monitoring Tools : </b> Familiarity with network management tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Nautobot/Netbox, Netdisco<br/><br/><b>- System Administration : </b> Knowledge of Linux system fundamentals is a plus.<br/><br/><b>- Problem-Solving and Communication : </b> Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.<br/><br/><b>Ways to stand out : </b><br/><b><br/></b></p><p><b>- Support Automation : </b> Track record of taking operational signals through means such as SNMP, Syslog, synthetics to solve operational challenges.
Background in building and/or leveraging synthetics such as UXI, Signal7, Wyebot to measure wireless availability and user experience.<br/><br/><b>- Code Optimization : </b> Ability to debug and optimize code; automate routine tasks.<br/><br/><b>- Platform Exposure : </b> Experience with Mellanox/Cumulus Linux, Mist Wireless, Cisco Wireless.<br/><br/><b>- Security Awareness : </b> Experience with WLAN security components such as ISE<br/><br/>- Previous SRE experience.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
