Job Description – ServiceNow Developer / Consultant

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer/Consultant with deep expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) modules and hands-on skills in customization, scripting, and integrations.

The role requires strong technical proficiency in ServiceNow platform development, including workflows, automation, APIs, and Service Portal customization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, and customize solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Work extensively across ITSM modules including Incident, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management.
  • Develop and modify Workflows, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
  • Create and support REST integrations and develop custom APIs to integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.
  • Customize and enhance the Service Portal to improve user experience and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices for maintainability, scalability, and performance.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving platform-related issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, capabilities, and releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules: Incident, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting components: Workflows, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
  • Experience with REST integrations and developing custom APIs within ServiceNow.
  • Hands-on expertise in Service Portal customization and development.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow data structures, ACLs, and security best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM.
