We’re hiring a hands-on developer who can build fast, stable storefronts and marketing sites, wire up accurate analytics, and partner with our CRO/SEO team to lift performance.
What you’ll do
- Develop & maintain Shopify (Liquid, Sections, Theme App Extensions) and WordPress (PHP, custom themes/plugins, Gutenberg/ACF) builds.
- Implement dataLayer & tracking : design event schemas, configure GTM, validate GA4 events/parameters, and document measurement plans.
- Website optimisation : improve Core Web Vitals, reduce JS/CSS payloads, image strategy, caching/CDN, and accessibility fixes (WCAG-minded).
- CRO support : translate hypotheses into testable UI; build A/B test variants (client- or server-side), ensure clean experiment attribution.
- SEO-technical : schema, canonicals, redirects, sitemaps/robots, hreflang (where relevant), and clean URL structures.
- Quality & releases : git-based workflow, staging + changelogs, cross-browser/device QA, and clear rollback plans.
What you’ll bring (must-haves)
- 5+ years of professional experience across Shopify & WordPress development.
- Solid Liquid / PHP / JS (ES6) , HTML/CSS (Tailwind or SCSS), REST/GraphQL basics.
- Proven GA4 + GTM implementation experience (events, params, e-commerce, consent).
- Practical CRO know-how (building test variants, clean event tagging, debugging).
- Track record improving performance (LCP, CLS, INP) and technical SEO .
- Git, tickets/estimations, and crisp written documentation.
Nice to have
- Headless patterns (Storefront/GraphQL, Next.js), app/plugin development.
- Microsoft Clarity/Hotjar experience; Looker Studio dashboards.
- Understanding of accessibility (ARIA, focus management) and internationalisation.
