<p>Sigma Infosolution - Business Analyst - eCommerce <br/><br/>About the Job :<br/><br/>We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic E-Commerce Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Ahmedabad.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, data analytics, and user experience.

This role is crucial in driving our online business growth by analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, optimizing our e-commerce operations, and translating business needs into technical requirements.<br/><br/>You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and IT, to ensure our e-commerce initiatives are aligned with business objectives and deliver a seamless customer experience.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/>Strategic Analysis & Insight Generation :<br/><br/>- Conduct in-depth analysis of e-commerce performance metrics, sales data, customer behavior, website traffic, conversion funnels, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.<br/><br/>- Perform competitive analysis to benchmark our e-commerce capabilities and identify best practices.<br/><br/>- Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, internal dashboards) to extract actionable insights and present them to stakeholders.<br/><br/>Requirements Gathering & Documentation :<br/><br/>- Collaborate with business stakeholders (marketing, sales, operations) to understand their needs, challenges, and vision for e-commerce enhancements.<br/><br/>- Elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new e-commerce features, platform integrations, and improvements.<br/><br/>- Create detailed documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), process flows, and wireframes.<br/><br/>Project Management & Implementation Support :<br/><br/>- Act as a liaison between business units and technical development teams (developers, QA) throughout the project lifecycle.<br/><br/>- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring business objectives are clearly communicated and understood.<br/><br/>- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by developing test cases, coordinating testing efforts, and validating solutions against business requirements.<br/><br/>- Assist in change management activities, including training users and preparing documentation for new features.<br/><br/>eCommerce Platform Optimization :<br/><br/>- Identify and recommend enhancements to website usability, navigation, search functionality, product display, checkout process, and mobile responsiveness.<br/><br/>- Analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns and provide insights for optimization.<br/><br/>- Evaluate third-party tools and integrations (payment gateways, shipping providers, CRM, ERP) to improve efficiency and customer experience.<br/><br/>Data-Driven Decision Making :<br/><br/>- Develop and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) related to e-commerce performance.<br/><br/>- Prepare regular reports and dashboards summarizing key metrics, trends, and recommendations for leadership.<br/><br/>- Champion a data-driven approach to all e-commerce initiatives.<br/><br/>Qualifications :<br/><br/>Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Master's degree is a plus.<br/><br/>Experience:<br/><br/>- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically focused on e-commerce platforms and digital products.<br/><br/>- Proven experience working with major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris, BigCommerce).<br/><br/>- Demonstrated experience in gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements for complex e-commerce projects.<br/><br/>Technical Skills :<br/><br/>- Strong proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and tools.<br/><br/>- Understanding of SEO, SEM, and other digital marketing concepts.<br/><br/>- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).<br/><br/>- Proficiency in creating flowcharts, wireframes, and mockups using tools like Balsamiq, Figma, or Lucidchart.<br/><br/>- Basic understanding of databases and SQL is a plus.<br/><br/>Soft Skills :<br/><br/>- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.<br/><br/>- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.<br/><br/>- Strong organizational and time management skills.<br/><br/>- Proactive, results-oriented, and a continuous learner.<br/><br/>Preferred Skills :<br/><br/>- Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Product Ownership (CSPO).<br/><br/>- Experience with headless commerce architectures.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and customer journey mapping.<br/><br/>- Experience with PIM (Product Information Management) or DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems.<br/><br/>- Prior experience in a consulting role or agency environment.</p> (ref:iimjobs.com)
