<p><p><b>Description : </b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>Position : Principal DevOps Architect (AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD)<br/><br/>Work Level : Principal / Architect<br/><br/>Industry Type : Cloud Computing / IT Infrastructure Services (Assumed)<br/><br/>Experience : Minimum 10+ Years (5+ years hands-on in Cloud, 4+ years hands-on in Kubernetes)<br/><br/><b>Job Summary : </b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>We are seeking a highly experienced Principal DevOps Architect with a minimum of 10+ years in designing and implementing highly scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions.

The role requires deep, hands-on expertise in AWS/OCI cloud services, advanced Kubernetes (EKS) management, and an Automation-First mindset using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).

The Architect will provide Technical Leadership to optimize CI/CD pipelines, enhance system performance, and establish architectural governance across the enterprise.<br/><br/><b>Job Description : Architecture and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : </b><br/><br/></p><p><br/>- Design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure primarily on AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).<br/><br/>- Possess mandatory 5+ years hands-on experience in AWS, configuring complex networking and core infrastructure components like Elastic Load Balancers (ELB), VPCs, and Security Groups.<br/><br/>- Lead the adoption and governance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to manage, provision, and version control all cloud resources in an automated and repeatable manner.<br/><br/>- Apply expertise in Linux systems configuration and administration to manage the operating systems underlying container and cloud environments.<br/><br/><b>CI/CD, Containerization, and Automation : </b><br/><br/></p><p><br/>- Design and implement end-to-end Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with platforms like Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment of applications through to production.<br/><br/>- Possess mandatory 4+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), including configuration, cluster provisioning, and advanced deployment strategies (e.g., Blue/Green, Canary).<br/><br/>- Implement and govern the use of containers (Docker) as immutable build artifacts throughout the entire CI/CD lifecycle, ensuring consistency between environments.<br/><br/>- Establish comprehensive Monitoring and Alerts solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure application responsiveness and quality.<br/><br/><b>Leadership, Optimization, and Quality : </b><br/><br/></p><p><br/>- Apply strong Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving skills to identify technical debt, bottlenecks, and performance issues, devising robust solutions to optimize costs and efficiency.<br/><br/>- Provide technical guidance and Mentorship to junior DevOps Engineers and development teams on best practices for cloud utilization, security, and automation.<br/><br/>- Demonstrate a proven, verifiable track record of implementing continuous deployment (CD) methodologies that reliably push changes through testing environments and into production.<br/><br/>- Advocate for an Automation-First approach in all processes, from security compliance checking to environment provisioning.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications : </b><br/><br/></p><p><br/>- Experience : Minimum 10+ years in DevOps/Cloud Architecture roles.<br/><br/>- AWS : Mandatory 5+ years hands-on experience in AWS, including networking, ELB, and system configuration.<br/><br/>- Linux : Expertise in Linux systems configuration.<br/><br/>- Kubernetes : Mandatory 4+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), including configuration, provisioning, and deployment to production environments.<br/><br/>- Containerization : Experience using containers as build artifacts.<br/><br/>- CI/CD : Demonstrable track record of implementing continuous deployment (CD) through to production, utilizing tools like Jenkins.<br/><br/>- Infrastructure : Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) is essential (Derived from Job Summary).<br/><br/>- Monitoring : Strong skills in implementing and managing Monitoring and Alerts.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Skills : </b><br/><br/></p><p><br/>- Certifications : AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional) or Kubernetes Certification (e.g., CKA/CKS/CKAD).<br/><br/>- Development : Demonstrable Software Development experience (e.g., Python, Go) for custom automation and tooling.<br/><br/>- Cloud Platforms : Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other major cloud providers.<br/><br/>- Security : Experience implementing security best practices (e.g., security scanning, secrets management) within the CI/CD pipeline.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
