<p><p><b>Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo :</b><br/><br/>Skylo Technologies is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to join our dynamic software development team.<br/><br/>This person will play a key role in creating and optimizing the Skylo Data Mobility Platform Architecture, Implementation, and contribution toward platform cloud services and deployment.<br/><br/>The right candidate will combine a depth of technical knowledge with a passion for creating best-in class software infrastructure solutions.<br/><br/><b>How You Will Contribute :</b><br/><br/>- Design and development of distributed application services, microservices, and components and scalable database systems.<br/><br/>- Implementation of a highly scalable and resilient cloud based software platform.<br/><br/>- Define, Design and implement REST APIs.<br/><br/>- Build Swagger UI, Postman collection for APIs.<br/><br/>- Application development using Java/GoLang, GCP Pub/Sub, SQL DB, and Web hook integration.<br/><br/>- Integration with 3rd party application systems using REST api or/and messaging queues<br/><br/>- Defining Component Test Scenarios and Test Cases, Component testing and Unit testing, Code Coverage and API test automation<br/><br/>- Build and Deployment using Jira, Jenkin, GCR/GKE<br/><br/>- Implement and enforce security best practices in both software development and deployment<br/><br/>- Work with platform engineering teams to quickly iterate on and deploy application components.<br/><br/>- Self Managing Engineer and work with other cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance collaboration on design specifications to iterate on feature development<br/><br/>- Establish a disciplined development and deployment process so that software ships on time and at a very high level of quality.<br/><br/>- Validate and deliver high quality code using tests.<br/><br/><b>What We Look For :</b><br/><br/>- 6+ years of experience in professional software development using OOP and distributed microservices.<br/><br/>- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.<br/><br/>- Programming capabilities with experience in Java or/and Go Language, preferably Java.<br/><br/>- Experience in developing microservices using spring-boot framework or using go lang framework<br/><br/>- Prior working experience in messaging broker such as Kafka or/and GCP Pub/Sub to build event-driven microservices architecture and solutions<br/><br/>- Excellent knowledge and implementation skills of data schema design and developing efficient SQL queries.<br/><br/>- Strong experience building services using a scalable SQL DB.<br/><br/>- Working knowledge of stream processing systems and message queues like GCP pub-sub.<br/><br/>- Experienced in REST API design and protocol design across different network layers.<br/><br/>- Experience in building stable and scalable server components/features preferred.<br/><br/>- Distributed systems knowledge for massive horizontal scaling.<br/><br/>- Working experience on using Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkin pipeline and GCP<br/><br/>- Should have quality focus with demonstrable skills using test frameworks.<br/><br/>- Highly collaborative, with excellent communication skills.<br/><br/><b>What We Offer :</b><br/><br/>With employees working across three continents, Skylo is proud to be an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce.<br/><br/>Our worldwide and inclusive culture encourages a flexible approach to work, and we also offer an attractive range of benefits such as:<br/><br/>- Competitive compensation packages, including a stock option-based equity program <br/><br/>- Comprehensive benefit plans<br/><br/>- Monthly allowances for wellness and education reimbursement<br/><br/>- A generous time off policy, holidays, and the opportunity to temporarily work abroad<br/><br/>- Once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of developing and running the worlds first commercial, live direct-to-device satellite network and service <br/><br/>- Access to world-class team and talent across tech domains: software, hardware, chipsets, telecom, satellite and network virtualization <br/><br/>- Open, transparent, inclusive culture that blends the Silicon Valley, Nordic and South Asia characteristics<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
