The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Snowflake and a deep understanding of data pipelines, transformations, and cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, develop, and deliver scalable data solutions.<br/></p><p class=""><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/> - Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions within Snowflake.<br/><br/> - Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Snowflake and related tools.<br/><br/> - Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.<br/><br/> - Work on data transformation, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity.<br/><br/> - Contribute to data modeling, architecture, and design discussions, ensuring alignment with best practices.<br/><br/> - Integrate Snowflake with various data sources, APIs, and BI tools.<br/><br/> - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, data engineers, and architects) to deliver end-to-end solutions.<br/><br/> - Implement security best practices, access controls, and governance within Snowflake.<br/><br/> - Monitor and optimize cost, performance, and scalability of Snowflake environments.<br/><br/> - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers where needed.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications : </b><br/><br/> - 6-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer / Snowflake Developer.<br/><br/> - Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake Cloud Data Platform.<br/><br/> - Proficiency in SQL (advanced queries, optimization, and performance tuning).<br/><br/> - Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.<br/><br/> - Knowledge of data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization, denormalization).<br/><br/> - Experience integrating Snowflake with BI/Analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).<br/><br/> - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and data services.<br/><br/> - Prior pharma domain knowledge is highly preferable.<br/><br/> - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in client-facing environments.<br/><br/> - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications : </b><br/><br/> - Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core or Advanced).<br/><br/> - Experience with Python/Scala/Spark for data processing.<br/><br/> - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.<br/><br/> - Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR).<br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
