<p><p><b>Job Title : </b> SQL Database Administrator.<br/><br/><b>Job Location : </b> Hyderabad.<br/><br/><b>Experience : </b> 5 + years.<br/><br/><b>Skills Required : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Microsoft Windows Server & SQL Server (On-premises).<br/><br/></p><p>- Azure SQL and related Azure data-services (Cloud).<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiar with Azure cloud data services and related infrastructure (desirable).<br/><br/></p><p>- Good knowledge of database design, implementation, transaction processing, referential integrity, performance tuning and monitoring with an emphasis in MS SQL/Azure SQL.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience or relevant functional knowledge in data modelling, relational database design, and ability to create and implement physical databases from logical data model.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with or formal training in developing and managing high availability solutions : replication, clustering, mirroring, log shipping.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on knowledge of database backup and recovery methods and tools for on-premises and cloud-based SQL databases.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate information and develop insights.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving various performance issues and tuning (highly preferable).<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiar with DevOps & Database automation tooling.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with or a solid understanding of database migration activities at a server, cluster or database layer.<br/><br/></p><p>- Data warehouse maintenance and tuning experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding and appreciation of Change Management policies and procedures.<br/><br/><b>Experience : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Minimum 5 years experience in database administration with proven expertise in both on-premises and Azure SQL environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Production(40%) vs Development experience(60%).<br/><br/></p><p>- On-Premises(30%) vs Azure SQL experience(70%).<br/><br/></p><p>Strong SQL development skills, including : <br/><br/></p><p>- Database & query optimisation.<br/><br/></p><p>- Writing and tuning complex stored procedures.<br/><br/></p><p>- Performance tuning for large-scale databases.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience managing and supporting database operations and the full database SDLC.<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid background in enterprise-class database architecture and support.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven track record working in an Agile environment with a structured approach.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong communication skills able to guide stakeholders from what do you want to what do you need.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Azure infrastructure (ideal).<br/><br/></p><p>- Basic Data Engineering knowledge/exposure (ideal).<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to DevOps and SecOps practices (optional).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience mentoring technical resources in database disciplines.<br/><br/></p><p>- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Azure SQL and/or MS SQL certification (desirable).<br/><br/><b>Why Should You Join Softobiz?</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Work with technical craftsmen who are pioneers in the latest technologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Access training sessions and skill-enhancement courses for personal and professional growth.<br/><br/></p><p>- Be rewarded for exceptional performance and celebrate success through engaging parties.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience a culture that embraces diversity and creates an inclusive environment for all employees.<br/>Softobiz is an equal opportunity employer.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
