<p>Role : Automation Test Lead </p><p><br/></p><p>Exp : 8+ Years </p><p><br/></p><p>Location : Pune- </p><p><br/></p><p>Immediate joiners <br/><br/> Job Summary:<br/><br/>We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automation Test Lead with 8+ years of experience in software testing, particularly in leading automation testing efforts for complex enterprise applications.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate should have a strong background in test automation frameworks, hands-on scripting experience, and team leadership.
</p><p><br/></p><p>As an Automation Test Lead, you will be responsible for driving the design, implementation, and execution of automation test strategies to ensure software quality and continuous delivery.<br/><br/>You will work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an agile environment.<br/><br/> Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/> Test Automation Strategy & Frameworks :<br/><br/>- Define, design, and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks (UI/API/Database).<br/><br/>- Select appropriate tools and technologies for automation based on the application architecture.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain test automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, Cucumber, Postman, Rest Assured, etc.<br/><br/>- Maintain and improve CI/CD integration with automation suites (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).<br/><br/> Leadership & Team Management :<br/><br/>- Lead a team of automation engineers and manual testers, providing technical mentorship and guidance.<br/><br/>- Plan and allocate testing tasks, track execution, and ensure timely delivery of test outcomes.<br/><br/>- Ensure testing best practices and standards are followed across the team.<br/><br/>- Conduct code reviews and promote high-quality test code practices.<br/><br/> Test Planning & Execution :<br/><br/>- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases and automation scripts.<br/><br/>- Define and document test plans, test scenarios, and test data for functional and non-functional requirements.<br/><br/>- Execute regression, integration, smoke, and sanity test suites in both automated and manual fashion when needed.<br/><br/>- Analyze test failures and work with development teams to identify root causes and resolutions.<br/><br/> Reporting & Stakeholder Communication :<br/><br/>- Track and report test execution progress, defect status, and test coverage using test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.<br/><br/>- Provide QA metrics and dashboards for sprint and release cycles.<br/><br/>- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in Agile/Scrum teams.<br/><br/> Continuous Improvement :<br/><br/>- Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to the test process, test tools, and automation efficiency.<br/><br/>- Research emerging technologies in QA and automation and incorporate them into the QA ecosystem.<br/><br/> Required Skills & Qualifications :<br/><br/>Area Requirements :<br/><br/>- Experience 8+ years in QA/testing, with at least 4 years in test automation and 2+ years in a lead role<br/><br/>- Programming/Scripting Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript (based on tool stack)<br/><br/>- Automation Tools Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Rest Assured, Cypress, Playwright, Postman<br/><br/>- Frameworks Hybrid, BDD (Cucumber), Data-driven frameworks<br/><br/>- API Testing Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar<br/><br/>- CI/CD Tools Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps<br/><br/>- Version Control Git (Bitbucket/GitHub/GitLab)<br/><br/>- Bug Tracking JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent<br/><br/>- Test Management Tools TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or similar<br/><br/>- Cloud & Environments Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Docker, basic Kubernetes<br/><br/>- Agile Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams<br/><br/> Desired (Good-to-Have) Skills :<br/><br/>- Performance Testing experience using JMeter or Gatling<br/><br/>- Mobile testing (Appium or BrowserStack)<br/><br/>- Security testing knowledge (basic)<br/><br/>- ISTQB Certification or equivalent<br/><br/>- Experience in testing SaaS/cloud-native applications<br/><br/> Soft Skills :<br/><br/>- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills<br/><br/>- Effective communication and stakeholder management<br/><br/>- Ability to lead and motivate a team<br/><br/>- High attention to detail and a quality-first mindset<br/><br/>- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
