<p><p><b>Job Title :</b><br/><br/>- Senior Test Engineer - Core Banking / Trade Finance Domain<br/><br/><b>Location :</b><br/><br/>- Pune <br/><br/>- 6+ Years<br/><br/><b>Job Description :</b><br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>Test Planning & Analysis :</b><br/><br/>- Review and analyze business requirements and functional specifications for completeness and testability.<br/><br/>- Participate in requirement understanding sessions with business analysts and stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Identify and document detailed test scenarios and acceptance criteria based on business flows.<br/><br/><b>Test Case Development & Execution :</b><br/><br/>- Design, write, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on business logic and functional requirements.<br/><br/>- Perform thorough functional, integration, regression, and system testing.<br/><br/>- Execute REST API tests using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.<br/><br/>- Validate backend data by writing complex SQL queries for DB testing.<br/><br/><b>Defect Management :</b><br/><br/>- Identify, log, track, and re-verify defects using JIRA or other defect tracking systems.<br/><br/>- Work closely with developers and business analysts to resolve bugs and re-test fixes.<br/><br/>- Ensure proper defect prioritization and resolution based on business impact.<br/><br/><b>Collaboration & Communication :</b><br/><br/>- Interact with business stakeholders, developers, BA teams, and vendors to ensure clarity in requirements and seamless communication.<br/><br/>- Provide timely status reports and raise risks or blockers proactively.<br/><br/>- Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.<br/><br/><b>Quality & Ownership :</b><br/><br/>- Take full ownership of the application/module assigned and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.<br/><br/>- Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, and version control for test scripts and data.<br/><br/>- Suggest and implement process improvements and best practices to improve testing efficiency.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Experience :</b><br/><br/><b>Domain Expertise :</b><br/><br/>- 4+ years of experience in Core Banking, Trade Finance, or Financial Applications.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of banking workflows, financial transactions, and risk controls.<br/><br/><b>Technical Skills :</b><br/><br/>- REST API Testing using Postman, SoapUI<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience in Database Testing, writing complex SQL queries<br/><br/>- Exposure to test management tools like JIRA, Confluence<br/><br/>- Knowledge of Mainframe systems and ability to interpret logs is an added advantage<br/><br/>- Understanding of API Automation, Selenium, BDD frameworks (good to have)<br/><br/>- Version control using Git<br/><br/><b>Soft Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities<br/><br/>- Ability to multitask and manage multiple test efforts simultaneously<br/><br/>- Self-driven with minimal supervision, ownership mindset<br/><br/>- Excellent verbal and written communication skills<br/><br/>- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders<br/><br/><b>Good to Have / Preferred :</b><br/><br/>- Experience in automation frameworks (Selenium, Rest Assured)<br/><br/>- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies<br/><br/>- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications<br/><br/><b>Educational Qualification :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
