We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full-Stack Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining solutions for global infrastructure automation.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating scalable, efficient, and secure systems that streamline infrastructure management and application deployment processes.

You will work closely with DevOps engineers, system architects, and other application developers to build tools and applications that enhance automation and orchestration capabilities.

This effort is called Value Orientated Task EXecution – VORTEX.


 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Percent of Time 
Architect/Develop Infrastructure Automation Tools: Design and implement web-based applications and APIs for automating infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and scaling.

Full Stack Development: Build and maintain both front-end interfaces and back-end services for infrastructure automation platforms.

Integrate with Cloud Platforms: Develop solutions that integrate with cloud services (Azure & AWS) and on-premises systems 10% 
Ensure Security and Scalability: Implement secure coding practices and design scalable solutions to handle large-scale infrastructure.

Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with DevOps, cloud engineers, and other stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions.

Documentation: Write clear and concise documentation for architecture, code, processes, and guides.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS 
 
Primary Groups: 
• Zoetis Engineering Teams – Understanding how automation/orchestration can help provide repeatable patterns 
• Zoetis Application Teams – Understand the application needs 
• Operations: MSP and Zoetis Service Delivery Management – How are our tools working day to day and how we can make it better 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: 

Experience: 
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a focus on infrastructure automation or DevOps-related projects.


• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (Node.js), or other relevant languages.


• Frameworks: Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js or similar) and back-end frameworks (Express.js, Django, Flask, etc.).


• API Development: Strong experience in building RESTful APIs and working with JSON.


• Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.


• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS.


• Database Management: Proficiency in working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).


• Version Control: Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.


• Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.


• Automation Expertise: Experience in scripting and automating workflows for infrastructure management.


 
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS 
Preferred Skills 
• Experience with serverless architectures.


• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.


• Understanding of network components and security best practices.


• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).


• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer) is a plus 
• Knowledge of IAC and Workflow automation can be moved up or emphasized more - as these skills are key 
• GraphQL - we use JSON and Gremlin, also use of Postman or similar tools would be very useful 
• Integrating seamlessly and testing automation across diverse platforms - on Prem, Network, Service Now etc.


 
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This role requires working in a global environment, occasionally outside regular business hours to support infrastructure deployments or critical issues.

0-5% Travel may be required.

Hybrid work- Tuesday to Thursday in office.
