We seek a motivated Software Development Engineer in Test II to oversee testing for Enterprise Application Access.

This solution ensures secure remote access to internal applications while avoiding internet exposure and VPN risks.

The Zero Trust Security SDET team secures and scales Akamai's next-generation access products.

Responsibilities involve designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.

Simulate customer scenarios in distributed environments.

Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to evaluate system performance.

Assess scale, stress, and edge-case conditions across hybrid deployments, including on-premises, cloud, and Akamai's global edge network.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for:

+ Developing and executing automated end-to-end test suites for UI and API layers on the EAA platform.
+ Creating scalable, distributed test environments simulating deployments with SSO, MFA, secure tunnels, and connectors.
+ Validating intricate processes like authentication, policy application, and service delivery through Akamai's global edge network.
+ Collaborating with engineering and product teams to define test strategies aligned with requirements, releases, and quality objectives.
+ Improving and maintaining Python automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins, Docker, ensuring reliable continuous integration.
+ Conducting system integration testing, analyzing microservices, connectors, control planes, investigating issues, regression tests, root cause analysis.

To be successful in this role you will:

+ 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalen2
+ Design scalable, maintainable, and robust testing frameworks as an automation engineer with Python expertise.
+ Gain expertise in Jenkins, Docker, Linux systems, establishing robust test environments, and continuous integration practices.
+ Demonstrate expertise in networking and security protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSL, SSO, SAML, Zero Trust.
+ Debug complex system issues using analytical problem-solving skills within distributed service mesh environments effectively.
+ Demonstrate enthusiasm for automation, scalability, innovation, and creating solutions from scratch using modern tools.
+ Include Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud platforms, CI/CD practices, Postman, PyTest, IAM, VPN, and databases.
