<p><b>Job Description </b>: QA Engineer (<b>Functional, Automation, API & DB Testing)</b><br/><br/><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled QA Engineer with expertise in Functional Testing, Automation Testing, API Testing, and Database Testing.
<br/><br/>The ideal candidate will ensure product quality by designing, executing, and maintaining robust test cases, frameworks, and automation scripts.
<br/><br/>You will work closely with development teams to identify issues early and deliver high-quality, reliable software products.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Perform Functional Testing to validate application features against business requirements.<br/><br/>- Design, develop, and execute Automation Test scripts using modern testing frameworks.<br/><br/>- Conduct API Testing (REST/GraphQL) to verify functionality, reliability, and performance.<br/><br/>- Execute Database Testing by validating schemas, writing queries, and checking data integrity.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders for test planning and defect management.<br/><br/>- Ensure test coverage, defect tracking, and reporting across the SDLC.<br/><br/>- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices.<br/><br/>- Participate in regression testing, performance validation, and release certification.<br/><br/><b>Must-Have Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong hands-on experience in Functional Testing across web and mobile applications.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in Automation Testing using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.<br/><br/>- Expertise in API Testing with tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience in Database Testing (SQL & NoSQL) with ability to write complex queries.<br/><br/>- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and defect life cycle.<br/><br/>- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/><b>Good-to-Have Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Knowledge of CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) for automated test execution.<br/><br/>- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.).<br/><br/>- Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).<br/><br/>- 5+ years of experience in QA/testing roles.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
