You
will join a growing, global team focused on virtualized end user
compute and work closely with the Windows Endpoint function,
working in agile sprints.
We are responsible for Nike Data Center
and Azure deployments around the globe.
You will work closely with
teams across Technology Operations, with partner support and
engineering teams in USA, Europe, and Greater
China.
As a
Horizon VDI Endpoint Engineer at Nike, Inc., you
will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery
of our global Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platform.
Your
responsibilities will include maintaining an enterprise-scale VDI
infrastructure, collaborating with business teams to onboard new
personas, resolving escalations from support, automating
operational work, and continuing your technical development.
You
will maintain, improve, and implement the product, service,
software, and process lifecycles for virtual end-user compute
across the
enterprise.
Key
Qualifications:
2-4
years supporting and maintaining a VDI environment, including
experience with VMWare
Horizon
2+ years supporting
and maintaining VMWare vSphere for VDI
environments
Experience
administering and supporting Windows server and client operating
systems
Strong
troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve technical
issues in a timely
manner
Excellent
communication, customer service, and collaboration
skills
Must have basic
knowledge of WAN & LAN, VLANs, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general
networking
Experience in a
scripting language such as PowerShell, Bash, or
Python
Desire to learn,
implement, and extend automation
patterns
Demonstrated
positive impact on the business outcomes for a large scale VDI
environment
Experience with
FSLogix, DEM, App
Volumes
Experience with
performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools like vROPS or
ControlUp is a
plus
Experience with Zero
and/or Thin Client technologies (e.g. iGel) is a
plus
Experience with AWS or
Azure is a plus
Experience
supporting Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop is a
plus
Experience with
Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible) is a
plus
Daily
responsibilities will involve supporting a growing desktop
virtualization environment, implementing, maintaining, or migrating
towards infrastructure and engineering best practices.
Responsible
for following change control procedures to plan, test, and
implement infrastructure and application changes in coordination
with business partners.
Work with other multi-functional teams and
groups to support projects and initiatives, and to assure knowledge
transfer for new systems.
Provide L3/L4 support for user incidents,
escalating issues to vendors, and providing end-user documentation
and knowledge base
articles.
