Align is currently seeking a Software Engineer, ServiceNow to join our DWE organization.
This position will vary in the scope of project responsibilities; however generally this position will focus on developing and maintaining applications and integrations in one or more key modules of the ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITAM, GRC, HRSD).
You will work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to design and implement solutions that meet the needs of the organization.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that ServiceNow applications are stable, scalable, and secure.
In this role, you will… Develop, configure, and customize solutions for ITSM, ITAM, GRC, HRSD and other ServiceNow modules.
Customize ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, and notifications to support ITSM, ITAM, GRC and HRSD processes and automation.
Design and develop ServiceNow catalog items and workflows using ServiceNow studio, script editor, and service portal widgets.
Develop and maintain solutions using standard platform functionality, including but not limited to Business rules, Client scripts, UI policies, Data policies, ACLs, UI actions, Script includes, Transform maps, Workflows etc.
Server-side scripts utilizing the most efficient Glide Record methods to reduce overall processing time.
Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and external platforms using APIs, MID servers and web services.
Enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.) Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, developers, analysts, process owners and managers to develop and implement best of breed complementary solutions interfacing ServiceNow.
Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow configurations and customizations to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for ServiceNow applications, troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary fixes or enhancements.
Document technical specifications, user guides, and standard operating procedures for ServiceNow applications and configurations.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging integration technologies, and best practices, and provide guidance on integrating new platforms and systems.
In this role, you’ll need … Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5-8 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration, including custom development, configuration, and components.
Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including scripting, workflows, and integrations.
Demonstrating experience working with workflows in one or more key areas of the ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITAM, GRC, HRSD) Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, and integration technologies and protocols, including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and web services.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and propose effective solutions.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work effectively and independently with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer) are highly desirable.
