<p>Job Description : </p><p><br/></p><p>Advantal Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications through the development, maintenance, and execution of robust automated test solutions.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to identify, prioritize, and resolve testing issues, ultimately contributing to the delivery of high-quality software.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities : <br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright (Highly preferred) / Selenium.<br/><br/>- Create and execute automated test scripts for various testing types (smoke, sanity, regression, etc.) across different application layers (UI, API, Database).<br/><br/>- Analyze test results, identify and troubleshoot issues, report defects, and propose solutions.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with development and product teams to define acceptance criteria, develop test plans, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.<br/><br/>- Continuously improve the automation framework and test suite to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.<br/><br/>- Research and evaluate new automation technologies and tools, recommending and implementing best practices.<br/><br/>- Participate in requirement and design reviews to provide input on testability and quality.<br/><br/>- Perform root cause analysis of defects and suggest improvements to prevent future occurrences.<br/><br/>- Mentor junior QA team members on automation best practices and frameworks.<br/><br/>Required Skills and Experience : <br/><br/>- 6+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.<br/><br/>- Mandatory : Extensive experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright / Selenium<br/><br/>- Proficiency in database testing.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience working with BDD frameworks.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and testing principles.<br/><br/>- Expertise in designing, developing, and executing test cases (both manual and automated).<br/><br/>- Deep knowledge of test automation frameworks, principles, test case development, maintenance, and execution.<br/><br/>- Experience with API testing.<br/><br/>- Proficiency with version control systems like Git.<br/><br/>- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.<br/><br/>- Strong communication and collaboration skills.<br/><br/>- Experience with Cucumber and Appium.<br/><br/>Preferred Skills and Experience : <br/><br/>- Experience with Jmeter for performance testing.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with CI/CD tools.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).<br/><br/>- Experience with performance and load testing.<br/><br/>- Understanding of SDLC and Agile Framework.<br/><br/>- Programming skills in languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python, JavaScript) for automation purposes.<br/><br/>Minimum Experience Requirements : <br/><br/>- 6+ years of overall testing experience.<br/><br/>This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a high-impact team and make a significant contribution to the quality of our products.
