Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Testing Engineer with over 5 years of proven expertise in designing, developing, and executing ETL test cases to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity within data warehouse and BI solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL tools, and testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.
  
  
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading operations to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  
  
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and mappings.
  
  
• Perform data profiling, data validation, and reconcile source data with target data.
  
  
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  
  
• Automate ETL test cases and develop reusable test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
  
  
• Perform performance testing of ETL jobs and identify bottlenecks to optimize processing times.
  
  
• Document testing efforts, results, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
  
  
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  
  
• Stay updated on emerging ETL testing tools and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  
  
• 5+ years of experience in ETL testing within large-scale data warehouses.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, DataStage, or similar.
  
  
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting to validate and analyze data.
  
  
• Experience with testing tools like Selenium, UFT, or specialized ETL testing frameworks is a plus.
  
  
• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and BI platforms.
  
  
• Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.
  
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  
  

Preferred Certifications:

• ISTQB Certified Tester
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• Any relevant ETL or Data Warehouse certifications
