<p><p><b>Job Details</b><br/><br/>Position: Solution Architect SAP MM<br/><br/>Function: Engineering Enterprise Application<br/><br/>Location: Chennai, India</p><p><b>Role Overview</b><br/><br/>As a Solution Architect SAP MM, you will define and lead the architecture of SAP Materials Management (MM) solutions across enterprise-wide transformation programs.
This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in SAP MM, strong integration knowledge across SAP and non-SAP systems, and leadership in strategic planning and solution delivery.
You will help shape the digital supply chain landscape for our global operations, ensuring scalable, compliant, and future-ready solutions.</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Job Requirements & Certifications : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.</p><p><br/>- SAP Certified Application Associate Procurement (preferred).<br/><br/>- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- 9 - 12 years of SAP MM implementation and architecture experience, with 5+ years as a Solution Architect or equivalent leadership role.<br/><br/>- Proven experience in global rollouts, upgrades, and transformation programs.<br/><br/>- Strong exposure to SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and integration with modules such as SD, PP, WM, and external Skills : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Expertise in SAP MM (procurement, inventory management, invoice verification, vendor management).</p><p><br/>- Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, data models, and Fiori interfaces.<br/><br/>- Strong integration knowledge (IDocs, BAPIs, OData, PI/PO, CPI).<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience in custom enhancements, interfaces, and workflows.<br/><br/>- Strong skills in solution blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, and documentation.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow) and agile Skills :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with SAP BTP, API-based integrations, and event-driven architectures.</p><p><br/>- Knowledge of international trade, customs, and compliance.</p><br/>- Exposure to transportation analytics and freight audit solutions.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and master data & Responsibilities & Planning :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Define the SAP MM architecture roadmap aligned with enterprise digital goals.<br/><br/>- Lead solution design workshops with stakeholders and functional leads.<br/><br/>- Evaluate new SAP technologies to future-proof MM capabilities.<br/><br/>- Contribute to enterprise architecture governance and platform selection.</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Delivery & Execution :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Lead design, configuration, and deployment of SAP MM solutions.<br/><br/>- Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and external systems.<br/><br/>- Provide technical leadership, issue resolution, and quality assurance.<br/><br/>- Document solution designs and configurations for audit and & Enablement :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Establish design standards, reusable assets, and best practices.</p><p><br/>- Support platform governance, release management, and lifecycle Leadership : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Mentor SAP MM consultants and foster a culture of continuous learning.<br/><br/>- Lead architecture forums to ensure collaboration and We Offer : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Opportunity to work in a globally recognized leader in home improvement and distribution.</p><br/>- Key role in shaping the newly established Global Technology Center in Chennai.<br/><br/>- Exposure to a diverse global technology environment and cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>- Competitive compensation and benefits package.<br/><br/>- Clear career growth and continuous learning opportunities.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
