Responsibilities:

● Contribute to System test methodologies, test plans and highly effective test automation by creating and executing automated system tests to replicate real-world scenarios.

● Create and setup test scenarios and test data as needed.

● Write code to simulate tests and to build various testing tools, by working alongside other engineers and championing code quality principles; Deliverables will include code builds and documented test results.

● Participate in tool analysis, creates proof of concept models, and makes recommendations to support the tools selection process.

● Participate in reviews (walkthroughs) of technical specifications and program code with other members of the engineering team, communicating design, requirements, feature set, functionality and limitations of systems/applications to team.

● Proactively involved with product managers right from inception through functional validation to launch, while always looking for potential quality issues/bugs and offer triaging and root cause analysis capabilities to the engineers.

● Provides cross-training and education to test personnel as required.

● Assists in the collection of test metrics, understands the trends, and suggest appropriate corrective actions.

● Identifies and reports software defects in an appropriate manner and follows the defined defect lifecycle.

● Follows standard development processes and procedures.

● Work with various team to promote QA processes, practices and standardization.

● Provides training, guidance, and feedback to testing team members.

Qualification & Experience :

● 4- 7 Years of experience as QA Engineer working on Manual Testing and handling Customer tickets

● Must have Bachelor's Degree i.e BTech / BE /MS/MTech in CS/IT/ECE/EE/Data Science/AI/ML or any relevant field

● Having Good knowledge and experience in testing Microservices

● Experience in testing APIs, complex backend distributed/cloud enabled applications

● Working knowledge of Postman or similar REST API

● Experience testing with containers, cloud, virtualization, and configuration management.

● Understanding the Requirements and write the Test Plan documents and granular level Test cases (covering all types of testing +ve, -ve, corner case, Boundary analysis..etc)

● Understanding of the Customer Tickets and able to analyze and come up with the test cases and work with Developers/CSM/PM in order to prioritize the ticket

● Collaborate with stakeholders to map customer requirements with business objectives, ensuring alignment and clarity.

● Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and customer support to ensure a smooth testing process.

● Maintain detailed documentation of test results, defect reports, and customer tickets; generate quality metrics for management.

● Monitor and resolve customer-reported issues in a timely manner, providing feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction.

● Share patterns or recurring issues with product and engineering teams to inform product improvements or bug fixes.

● Experience with NoSQL DB, preferably MongoDB

● Knowledge of JIRA, Git,Confluence

● Proficient with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, Defect Management System, and Documentation.

● Understanding of Functional Test methods and different phases of testing: System Integration, System Testing & User Acceptance Testing

● Collaborate with other developers across multiple departments

● Actively participate in improving testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

● Working knowledge of Test Automation is an added advantage (any automation tool - Selenium, WebDriver-IO )
