We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer with strong expertise in aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, structural engineering, and material science.
The role involves designing airfoils and structural frames for UAVs and drones, including simulations and calculations.
- Conduct aerodynamic simulations and analyses to optimize the drone's / UAV flight performance, stability, and efficiency.
- Design and develop drone structures that are lightweight, durable, and capable of withstanding various operating conditions.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD - SolidWorks) software to create detailed and precise drone components and assemblies.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials for drone components based on performance requirements, cost considerations, and weight constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate designs and make necessary improvements.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that designs can be effectively produced at scale while meeting quality standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in drone design and engineering processes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Strong in engineering fundamentals: Structural and Aerodynamics.
Educational Qualifications
Must:
- BE/B.Tech/Masters – Mechanical / Structural / Aerospace Engineering (Top 50 in NIRF)
Desirable:
- Good exposure to Structural Analysis, Aerodynamics, Airfoil Design, Material Calculations, and Manufacturing Processes
- Strong hold on CAD and CAE
- Experience in Ansys and Matlab
Relevant Experience
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Team Player, strong Analytical Skills, excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Desirable:
- Working experience in UAV / Drones sector
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, Ansys, and Matlab
