<p><p><b>Contact :</b> 6 Months<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations of DB2 LUW databases.<br/><br/>- Provide technical expertise for database due diligence, migration/modernization consultation, and planning activities.<br/><br/>- Define migration approaches, leveraging DB2 native or cloud-native migration utilities and tools.<br/><br/>- Conduct business impact analysis and risk assessments to minimize service disruption during migrations.<br/><br/>- Administer and troubleshoot DB2 LUW databases (single and multi-partition) on Linux environments.<br/><br/>- Manage cloud pure scale databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.<br/><br/>- Automate DBA activities to improve efficiency and consistency.<br/><br/>- Mentor developers and team members to solve database-related challenges and promote skill growth.<br/><br/>- Establish and enforce best practices and coding standards for database administration and migration.<br/><br/>- Ensure database security, storage, and capacity planning, as well as backup and recovery processes.<br/><br/>- Design and manage High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) systems using PowerHA/TSA.<br/><br/>- Optimize DB2 performance, stored procedures, triggers, and application interactions.<br/><br/>- Plan hardware capacity requirements for storage, memory, and CPU cycles.<br/><br/>- Manage and administer cloud-based relational database solutions, including migration from on-premise systems.<br/><br/>- Use AWS DMS, AWS SCT, Azure Database Migration Service, or Google Cloud Data Migration Service for cloud migrations.<br/><br/>- Develop migration playbooks/runbooks, conduct POCs and POVs for new migration tools.<br/><br/>- Work with multiple technologies and projects of high complexity, conceptualizing the value of technology for business needs.<br/><br/>- Provide support during migration/transformation events and continuously improve internal processes.<br/><br/>- Exposure to MongoDB, Oracle, and SQL databases is desirable.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Expert-level DB2 LUW DBA skills with hands-on experience in migrations and administration.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in Linux and AIX environments, including OS-level concepts.<br/><br/>- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (IBM, AWS, Azure) for database optimization and application performance.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in performance tuning, stored procedure development, and trigger optimization.<br/><br/>- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities.<br/><br/>- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional projects.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in automation tools for DBA tasks.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with MongoDB, Oracle, and SQL databases is a plus.<br/><br/><b>Education :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.<br/><br/>- Mandatory Certification: DB2 LUW Certification.<br/><br/><b>Experience :</b><br/><br/>- 810 years of experience in the IT industry with 8+ years of relevant DB2 LUW DBA experience.<br/><br/>- Proven track record in database migration, cloud-based solutions, and high-availability environments<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
