<p></p><p><b>Location : </b> Pune<br/><br/><b>Role : </b> Onsite, Full time<br/><br/><b>Experience : </b> 6+ yrs<br/><br/><b>About the Role : </b><br/><br/>We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer Quality to drive quality engineering excellence in a modern, agile, microservices-driven environment.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you will lead by example , designing robust test strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and influencing engineering best practices across teams.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and user-centric solutions in the payments domain, while staying ahead of industry trends and continuously improving our testing ecosystem.
You will also contribute to cloud migration initiatives, ensuring quality and performance throughout the transition.
<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Lead in-sprint testing, shift-left quality, and test automation.
<br/><br/>- Design and implement scalable test frameworks using Karate, Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured, and AI-based testing tools.
<br/><br/>- Plan and manage CI/CD pipelines and contribute to release management processes to ensure smooth, reliable deployments.
Define and monitor Quality KPIs (e.g., test coverage, defect leakage, MTTR, release readiness).
<br/><br/>- Drive contract testing, chaos testing, and performance testing using tools like JMeter.
<br/><br/>- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to ensure intuitive, high- value user experiences.
<br/><br/>- Support and validate cloud migration efforts, ensuring quality, scalability, and performance in cloud-native environments.
<br/><br/>- Promote test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), and quality gating using tools like SonarQube.
<br/><br/>- Continuously evaluate and improve testing tools, processes, and strategies.
<br/><br/>- Stay current with the latest Quality Engineering trends and tools, and proactively recommend improvements to enhance team capabilities.<br/><br/><b>What You Bring : </b><br/><br/>- 6+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development.
Deep expertise in Agile development, microservices architecture, and modern testing methodologies.
</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Hands-on experience with : <br/></b><br/>- Automation : Karate, Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured<br/><br/>- Performance & Resilience : JMeter, Chaos testing tools<br/><br/>- Quality & Monitoring : SonarQube, Quality Gates, AI-based testing platforms<br/><br/>- Languages : Java (preferred)<br/><br/>- CI/CD & DevOps : Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes<br/><br/>- Cloud Platforms : AWS, Azure, or GCP<br/><br/>- Release Management : Coordinating deployments, managing rollback strategies, and ensuring production readiness<br/><br/>- Experience with contract testing, API testing, and end-to-end service validation.
