- Design and deliver engaging training programs for surgery coding professionals.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated with the latest coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with QA and audit teams to identify training needs and address performance gaps.
- Develop training materials, manuals, and e-learning content.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in surgery coding.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent credential required.
- In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures across various specialties (e.g., orthopedics, general surgery, cardiovascular).
- Prior experience in training or mentoring coders is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
