Key job responsibilities
Basic qualifications
Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
Experience with Linux/Unix
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and team members
A day in the life
As a Systems Development Engineer, your daily activities might include:
Design and Development:
1.
Designing and developing software applications, systems, or tools
2.
Writing, testing, and debugging code in various programming languages
3.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
Testing and Troubleshooting:
1.
Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
2.
Identifying and resolving technical issues, bugs, and defects
3.
Troubleshooting system problems and implementing fixes
Collaboration and Communication:
1.
Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project needs
2.
Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders
3.
Collaborating with QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Maintenance and Optimization:
1.
Maintaining and updating existing systems, applications, and infrastructure
2.
Optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability
3.
Implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
1.
Documenting technical designs, code, and system architecture
2.
Sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues and team members
3.
Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge bases
Other Activities:
1.
Participating in code reviews and contributing to the improvement of the codebase
2.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies
3.
Attending meetings, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
