<p><p><b>Job Title - DevOps Engineer</b><br/><br/><b>About Role</b><br/><br/>As a DevOps Engineer<br/><br/>- Work closely with the product development team to improve the performance and reliability of new development<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools to orchestrate solutions<br/><br/></p><p>- Define, build, and keep true CI/CD culture, tooling, and process<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and architect tools for more productive development and also to improve product availability, scalability, and performance<br/><br/></p><p>- Automate the installation and upkeep of build and deploy tools and dependencies<br/><br/></p><p>- Define processes, techniques, architectures, and practices to ensure the monitoring, reliability, and performance of products and services<br/><br/></p><p>- Design and implement innovations that improve software engineering velocity, infrastructure resiliency, security, and data availability<br/><br/></p><p>- Solve live performance and stability issues and prevent their recurrence<br/><br/></p><p>- Evaluate new application packages and tools and perform research on best practices<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide recommendations for the solutions<br/><br/><b>Requirements :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or similar experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Curiosity about how things work.<br/><br/></p><p>- A passion for learning and developing new skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Obsession with automating everything and a passion for elegance and simplicity.<br/><br/></p><p>- Comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Comfortable with collaboration, open communication, and crossing functional borders.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to jump into situations with few guardrails and improve them.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability and desire to fix things when they break.<br/><br/></p><p>- Extensive experience with AWS services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or shell scripting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with CI/CD tools like Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, etc.<br/><br/></p><p>- Infrastructure automation with infrastructure as code tools - CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with container infrastructures like Docker and Kubernetes.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with RDBMS/NoSQL administration and management, such as Postgres and MongoDB.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with microservice architecture.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with configuration management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent understanding of operating system concepts, especially Linux OS.<br/><br/><b>Nice to have :</b><br/><br/>- Experience working for a start-up is preferred<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with AWS data engineering - DMS, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Quicksight<br/><br/></p><p>- History of effectively working with and growing geo-distributed partner teams<br/><br/></p><p>- AWS Cloud Certifications.<br/><br/></p><p>- Basic knowledge of security - OWASP, static code analysis<br/><br/></p><p>- Fintech experience (good to have) , security standards and compliance - PCI-DSS, SOC2<br/><br/>Location - Bangalore<br/><br/>Working model : Hybrid/Residential<br/><br/>Notice Period : Immediate Joiners, Shorter notice or 30 days notice</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
