<p>Experience Range : 8 to 15 yrs<br/><br/>Location : Chennai<br/><br/>JOB DESCRIPTION : <br/><br/>We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in manual testing and Agile methodologies.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities : <br/><br/>- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies to ensure product quality and reliability.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform manual testing across web, mobile, API, and database layers to validate functionality, performance, and scalability.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with Agile development teams to define acceptance criteria, refine user stories, and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct API testing (REST/SOAP) and validate backend logic using SQL queries and database validations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with developers and product managers to resolve them effectively.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure test deliverables are created and maintained in alignment with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).<br/><br/></p><p>- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and techniques.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide clear and concise test reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks, coverage, and overall product quality.<br/><br/></p><p>- Mentor junior QA team members (if applicable) and foster a culture of quality-first mindset within the team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and, where necessary, apply Business Analysis (BA) skills to bridge gaps.<br/><br/></p><p>Requirements : <br/><br/>- 7+ years of relevant experience in QA/Software Testing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing with expertise in test case execution, defect management, and exploratory testing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience with Agile testing methodologies and working in Agile/Scrum teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong skills in database testing (SQL/queries) and API testing (Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools).<br/><br/></p><p>- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), STLC, and QA best practices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.<br/><br/></p><p>- Having Business Analysis (BA) skills will be an added advantage.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication skills are mandatory.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
