Synechron is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead and shape the technical direction of our software products.
In this strategic role, you will provide architectural guidance, drive engineering excellence, and foster innovative solutions that align with organizational goals and industry standards.

Software Requirements
Required Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# (version 8+ or latest)
Experience with modern development tools including Git, Jenkins, and Docker
Knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
Use of architectural tools and modeling (e.g., UML, ER diagrams)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Knowledge of microservices architecture
Familiarity with Serverless computing
Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ
Overall Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and influence the architectural vision for software products, ensuring strategic alignment and adherence to best practices.
Drive the adoption of engineering standards to uphold code quality, security, and performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Oversee system design, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability, and recommend improvements.
Participate in review processes, including RFC evaluations, to secure design compliance.
Conduct impact analyses for new features, identifying dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Promote a culture of continuous learning by encouraging knowledge sharing within the team.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and promote collaborative team environments.
Partner with QA teams to define testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage and product quality.
Manage defect resolution processes, prioritizing issues based on severity and impact.
Monitor and report on KPIs related to development productivity, quality, and team performance.
Maintain proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding project updates, challenges, and resolutions.
Stay informed of emerging industry trends and incorporate relevant innovations into development practices.

Experience Requirements
A minimum of 12 years of progressive software engineering experience.
Proven experience leading technical architecture and large-scale product development.
Demonstrated success in mentoring teams and establishing engineering standards.
Experience within financial, fintech, or similarly regulated industries is desirable.
Candidates with equivalent experience from related domains will also be considered.
Day-to-Day Activities
Lead and participate in architecture design sessions and technical decision-making.
Collaborate with product managers and business analysts to understand requirements.
Review code, design documents, and RFCs for compliance with standards.
Support development teams through hands-on coding, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives within Agile teams.
Coordinate with QA teams to design test strategies and validate releases.
Review defect reports, prioritize bug fixes, and monitor resolution progress.
Track progress against KPIs, prepare technical documentation, and report to leadership.
Stay updated on technological advancements and propose new tools or methodologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Certified Scrum Developer (CSD), or technical leadership credentials are preferred.
Continuous professional development through courses, certifications, or industry participation is expected.
