<p>Role Title : Technical Design & Network Architect.<br/><br/> Location : Chennai.<br/><br/> Experience : 9+ Years.<br/><br/> Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/> Solution Design & Architecture :<br/><br/>- Deliver highand low-level designs (HLD/LLD) for LAN, WAN, Data Centre, and Security infrastructures.<br/><br/>- Support migrations from legacy platforms to modern solutions (Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, multi-vendor firewalls, hybrid cloud).<br/><br/>- Ensure designs align with Vodafone's enterprise standards and M&S's Zero Trust strategy.<br/><br/> Implementation & Transition Support :<br/><br/>- Create implementation and migration plans (CRQs, MoPs).<br/><br/>- Provide offshore technical support for network changes, migrations, and upgrades.<br/><br/>- Support configuration, deployment, and integration of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and load balancers.<br/><br/> Security & Compliance :<br/><br/>- Design and validate firewall and segmentation policies across Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, and Cisco platforms.<br/><br/>- Enable secure hybrid cloud networking on Azure and AWS (VNet, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateway, WAF, NSG).<br/><br/>- Align solutions to ITIL, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards.<br/><br/> Operational Readiness & Documentation :<br/><br/>- Produce detailed design and implementation documentation (LLD, BOMs, migration runbooks).<br/><br/>- Support offshore knowledge management and structured handovers.<br/><br/>- Provide remote escalation support to onsite 24x7 assurance teams.<br/><br/> Collaboration & Governance :<br/><br/>- Engage with onsite design authorities and architects to validate solutions.<br/><br/>- Participate in design reviews, change boards, and compliance reviews.<br/><br/>- Mentor offshore engineers, building a deep technical pool aligned to Vodafone/M&S engagements.<br/><br/> Required Skills & Experience :<br/><br/> Networking & Data Centre : <br/><br/>- Cisco ACI Spine/Leaf, Nexus (2K-9K), Catalyst series, Cisco SD-WAN/Viptela.<br/><br/>- Routing & Switching : BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, VXLAN, L2VPN/L3VPN.<br/><br/> Security : <br/><br/>- Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto (Panorama), Fortinet FortiGate, Check Point R77/R80+.<br/><br/>- Zero Trust principles (micro-segmentation, least privilege, identity integration).<br/><br/> Cloud & Virtualisation : <br/><br/>- Azure (VNets, ExpressRoute, NSG, Application Gateway, Front Door).<br/><br/>- AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway, WAF, CloudFront).<br/><br/>- VMware NSX, VMWare SDN, Kubernetes networking.<br/><br/>- Load Balancing & Application Delivery : F5 LTM/GTM, Citrix NetScaler, Radware Alteon.<br/><br/>- Automation & Tooling : Python, Ansible, Terraform, Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, ServiceNow ITSM.<br/><br/>- Methodologies : Strong ITIL, Agile, and PMP/Prince2-aligned project delivery experience.<br/><br/> Preferred Qualifications :<br/><br/>- CCNP/CCIE (Enterprise, Data Centre, Security).<br/><br/>- AWS/Azure Solutions Architect certifications.<br/><br/>- Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE4+, Check Point CCSA/CCSE.<br/><br/>- TOGAF, ITIL v3/v4 Foundation.<br/><br/> Personal Attributes :<br/><br/>- Strong customer-facing communication and documentation skills.<br/><br/>- Ability to operate across both design and hands-on engineering.<br/><br/>- Proactive problem solver, adaptable in high-pressure environments.<br/><br/>- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with experience in global delivery models.<br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
