Job description

**Introduction**
· Manage global, large-scale, cross-functional, and or cross-organization projects, and track to completion; regularly communicate status and progress to upline to executives and senior technical leaders

· Manage competing business and technical priorities, and bring order and understanding to initial ambiguity

· Drive and track technical issues to closure and find solutions for issues as they arise

· Produce documentation related to the program’s processes and procedures

· Work closely with IBM Cloud service engineering teams and architects to onboard services to the IBM Cloud Platform, ensuring the services adequately meet Platform architecture standards

· Actively participate in and execute on IBM Cloud architectural review programs

· Work closely with local and remote, distributed teams in all phases of Cloud services development
**Your role and responsibilities**
The IBM Cloud CTO Office is responsible for defining the next generation of the IBM Public Cloud Platform, reinforcing the long-term strategic direction for IBM Cloud as the platform for secure regulated workloads, and ensuring that IBM Cloud meets customer and regulatory expectations.

This position is for an exceptional Technical Program Manager to drive and execute on IBM Cloud CTO architecture technical programs.

This office seeks an individual interested in having a voice in the long-term strategic direction of the IBM Cloud architecture and shaping it to be the most secure, highly available and resilient cloud platform on the market for our clients.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, working with all parts of IBM Cloud.

In this role you will have an opportunity to work closely with and learn from senior technical and business leadership, growing your network and expanding your understanding of the Cloud business as a unit.

Individually, this role is about defining, driving, and executing on technical projects in your program space to deliver on items such as Cloud architecture and security guidance patterns, diagrams, documentation and architecture artifacts.

A successful candidate should have proven communication, project planning and execution, and documentation skills.

The candidate should also have a strong desire to analyze situations, data, and requirements to implement efficient solutions and update or develop new procedures or processes.

This office is embedding AI in what we do and deliver creating ample opportunity for the person in this role to grow AI skills and deliver business outcomes with AI.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
· BS Degree or equivalent industry experience

· 2+ years technical program management experience in managing medium- to large-scale Cloud programs and projects

· Proven experience producing documentation

· Knowledge and hands-on experience in driving Cloud related projects

· Exceptional problem-solver, with ability to understand technical context and determine root cause, and move forward and close on problems at the root

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Have a roll up your sleeves to get things done mentality
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
· Experience collaborating effectively across remote teams and time zones

· Negotiation skills across a variety of stakeholders, including architects, engineering teams, and senior technical leadership

· Familiarity with Cloud regulatory frameworks and compliance standards

· Excited by and excels at bringing order and understanding to initial ambiguity, and executing on key technical strategic initiatives
